Looks fantastic... I like rarely modeled airplanes. The wheels look great.

Default RE: F 89 Scorpion

i got one of the first kits ....
today i have a closer look and weighed all the parts

removable Nose: 329 gr.

Nose wood girder: 381 gr.

Tiptanks: 298 gr. x2 both are exact the same

Main Fuse incl. Canopy frame: 2957 gr.

Gear doors: 156 gr.

Air scoops: 21 gr.

Wing tube: 624 gr.

clear Canopy: 152 gr,

Elevator complete: 603 gr.

left Wing incl. Flap and Aileron: 1701 gr.

rear Fuselage incl. Rudder: 595 gr.

right Wing incl. Flap and Aileron: 1744 gr.

Cockpit: 113 gr.

Formers: 99gr.

Retracts: 578 gr.

10,65 kg incl. retracts .... not bad for a plane that big
every part is extremely strong, lots of carbon used and
all control surfaces are hinged at the factory

here is what you get for your hard earned money:

You can buid it as a single or a twin, needed parts for both versions are delivered with the kit.
I will build mine as a single with a IQ-Hammer 180+.
A 4,5 Li. Tank comes for the single, a 6 Li. for the twin version.

Yes, this should be out of the same molds...

This plane was built the molds in 1998 so quite long time ago. But the molds are still good and so I made an Kit out of it....

Absolute great flying plane.

Thank you Eberhard Mauck for this construction.

Anyone know if there is a smaller parkflyer version of the F89 availilable anywhere?  My father in law worked on these back in the 50's in Alaska and I'd love to find  a smaller version.
