Savex L-39 Maiden
December 22nd.
Weather was great today for this time of year. +8 degrees and 10-15k wind straight down the runway. Cant believe we have weather good enough to fly this time of year, yet doing test flights on new turbines.
Jet Dog and I headed to the Burlington field and flew my L-39 as a warm up lap, then moved on to Rich's new turbine powered L-39.
This is Rich's first turbine.
I did the first flight and trimmed out the nice little bird, then landed it. All went well. They really are nice flying little L-39's.
Second flight, I took it up and let Rich get his hands on the sticks for his first ever turbine flying. Rich flew the little L-39 very well, getting a feel for the sticks. Then I landed it for him. I think it is great to see people have such success moving into turbines.
Needless to say, we now have another Jet Pilot in the works.
Attached are two pictures of the happy owner and his L-39, taken after the two successful flights.
Congrats to Rich!!!!
