Default Jet Modellers Association of Ireland

Just wanted to introduce RCU to the new Jet Modellers Association of Ireland.

As many will know the Jet community in Ireland is fairly small but some of us are fairly active when we get the chance with the Irish weather
Hoping now this new Association will further promote Jet model flying in Ireland and encourage more modellers to get into the Jet side of the hobby.

Our doors are always open and we hope to have some visitors from across the seas to our Jet fly-ins this year.

Please check out the new website (only live last night so maybe a few bugs, please let me know)

Good luck with this new endeavour.

Was I mistaken or did one of the photos on the site show the sun shinning?

Contrary to belief we do get sun here sometimes, we had a great spell last year March/April but that was it! worst year for flying in a long time.

Forgot to mention, in one of the gallery's I have a load of pics from this years Jetpower, also photos from 2007 Jet world masters held here, might be more interesting than looking at us

Neat looking site!
Good luck with your association, and its future meetings. I wouldn't mind getting over there and joining you guys one day. Its been years since I have been to the Emerald Isle, and have fond memories of it!
Regards Al

Hey Seamus - great looking site, really nice to see all the pictures on there.

I particularly like the Stars and Stripes livery on your Intro - might do a batch of Sprints in those colours ! Have you made Cecil put a pilot in his Nano yet ?

Great job !

regards

Colin

The livery is actually a copy of the old XL scheme. Lots of Boomerang variants over here we are big fans as they suit our sites very well (the lack of tarmac). Two new pilots just got two sprints last week, hope we will see them out flying next year.

Cecil already has one you must have missed it, you just have to have a pilot in the office to fly in Ireland, mandatory.
Might propose it to be added to the rules & regs

Ah yes - so he does! Was looking at the pics on my phone and thought I had caught him out - not so eh

Stars and Bars was my favourite XL scheme but it does look good on the smaller models as well now I've seen your Intro. I hope 2012 brings us all some good flying weather so everyone can enjoy their flying to the max!

Just a note to say unfortunately we had to cancel the Jet Flyin at North West this Sunday due to the bad weather, will be rearranged for another day.
