Default Budget jet trainer

This thread is for a buddy who has decided to make the jump to turbines. Here's the kicker. The airframe has to fit a k80 of jets munt vt80 and be $750 or less. He already knows of the shock jet, tornado, anything else out there?

Saw the Pantera at Jetpower, flew very very well. Finally a trainer with the looks too :-) ...well, atleast better then a turbinator or boomerang.

Also a C-Arf Rookie price is not much over the budget.. less than Us$ 1k, as far as I know.

You'd have to act fast to get this price, but this may fit the bill. A thousand dollars would get you the plane and everything else to get it airborne, minus engine.
