Todd i mistaken the 351 for the 352 gyro.
The 351 controls two servos on one axis, sorry Sean my bad[]

Futaba GYA352 is a dual axis Gyro.

I'm pretty sure it's been done, I tucked it away when I read about it, thus this thread. I have to agree though, it does sound far fetched. I did call Microflight.com today and they said they do it all the time. But their version is min. $2k. Man, I really want one, but I have no way to justify 2k for tinkering with a novelty.

According to the manual, it has the elevon function built into the gyro. You actually turn off the radio mix, the gyro performs the mixing.
