RE: Nitroplane Cessna Citation 2 x P20s
Yeh Dom! Also if you get water in them they can stop working aswel as they are not water proof mechanical retracts!! But must say ther a lot Easier to operate then air retracts also a lot lighter!! If they do get damaged or stop working at some point in future I'd probably change them to air jet1a boomerang sprint or nano retracts! Along with brakes

Those eFlite retracts are much under-rated. I use them on the mains for my Futura. Only small issue you can get with them is if the two sides of the frame aren't tight together. If not, the circuit board that has the micro-switches can drop out of the grooves in the two sides of the frame...and then the whole thing don't work.

What size is your futura? Im glad ive had the chance to play woth both sizes of the eflite retracts ... not sure what the maximum weight is for the ones fitted to the Citation.

In my opinion I will never buy anything from Nitroplanes after my one experience. Junk Chinese sub standard stuff from the glue, wood to electronics to the worst customer service you will ever receive. Sure the website looks so good but you get what you pay for and you ain't paying for much more than kindling wood or foam to make your mix of napalm. I buy usa only stuff and have great service out of it all.

True nitro planes are tossors! Lol however they do not ship to Europe as they wouldn't ship me the citation as they kept saying its to big to ship to the uk that's rubbish!! I found general hobby from USA selling the same plane they shipped it out to me Nxt day week later I had it sitting at home!! I must agree it wasn't the best of kit in terms of construction ply was weak many other minor faults but awar dude scot has made the citation solid enuff to accept the two turbines

Yeh the nitro planes kits are crappy thers hardly any civilian aircrafts kits on the market these days and if ther is its just crappy foam which really is a shame I guess airliners civilian aircrafts thers no much demand for them as you can not do much with them except fly them in circuits and land where's a f16 you can do the book! I stil think the civilian scale planes look good in the air if it's flown the way it shud be!! anyway sweet work dude glad it's almost done lets hope all the hard work pays off on its maiden flight yeh let me knw how the taxi tests go

Raj,
The hero is complete apart from the RX batteries which you havent supplied so the mounts are not there for them either ... the UAW with a slight rearward CG (approx 110 - 115mm) less fuel is 15lbs which is comparable with the electric boys ...
The combined weight of the RX batteries needs to be between 350grams and 400 grams (the digi switch has two inputs etc, so two batteries)

Yeah, this one has been fun - good to have the chance to do a twin turbine project ... when you getting the G500 up to be and those 20sx's? Hoping that the G500 is better quality ...
We do need to get together to do the taxi tests ... but when? Will be tough fitting it around work ...
