The Gina is in the 20 kilo class. The model must weigh under 20 Kilos(44lbs) empty, and they weigh the model after the flight to ensure this standard is met.

Looks like the Fiat is on a par with the Russian Yak. Superb to see the engine beautifully detailed as well as the exterior of the plane, and all done under 44 lbs. Yes they do check weigh every plane to make absolutely sure.

I was there as well yesterday and today. I left because I have to get back to Dubai for work. Vacation is over.

Amazing place, amazing orginization, so many people and spectators from around Europe.

Took loads of pictures from scenery, the Swiss Air Force show, the opening with all teams, just amazing.

Well done Switzerland. One could easily say that they should organize this event FOR LIFE.

will post some pics later on.

I am too sad the weather is not helping the next few days.

I will definitely return to the amazing Meiringer Air Base and the fantastic scenery in the future.

Thanks for pointing the Dutch guys site out Dave as reports appear to be a bit thin at present.

Does anyone know what the Russian complaint against the Italian Fiat was about?

The Yak and all the airplanes there are fantastic, but that Fiat that flies like the best and can be disassembled like in a static diorama is something else plus.

Also great to see Jussi flying the F-18 there!

No wingmen for David? UK modelers are some of the best in the world. Is there a reason there's no team?
Cheers, good luck David.

That looked liked a pretty good scare on the first turn of Andy's F-86 during the test flight. Starts at the 1:36 mark

There are a few interesting models that I couldn't find any pictures of. They are:-

Team Taiwan - AIDC F-CK-1 Ching Kuo (IDF)

Team China - Hongdu L-15

Team Egypt - Hewan HA-300

Really looking forward to any pictures of these models at static judging or in flight. My thanks and appreciation in advance.

The vintage bonus is based on the age of the aircraft being modeled; the older the aircraft, the more points are awarded. The originality bonus is based on the number of times a model of the aircraft has appeared at the previous two JWM events; the more appearances, the fewer the points awarded.

Regards,

Jim

Hi

Team Egypt is unfortunately not present due to political problems.

For pictures of L-15 and CK-1 go to the perfect and very actual page of the Dutch Jet Team: http://dutchjetteam.nl/ and click "JWM 2013 Switzerland" on menu bar.
But be sure to have some time left to browse.........

Greatings from Switzerland

Some don't like the new format, mainly the economic situation in England...

Rules allow for that, you get repatriated when you move back.

1.0.3 Nationality of contestants
(a)
All contestants must be from the country/nation they are representing, and passports or other ID may be required as proof of this by the Contest Director, or the IJMC. People wishing to compete for National teams other than the country of their citizenship then the following rules (b) to (e) will apply:
(b)
They must apply in writing to the IJMC Council for permission.
(c)
They must have resided for two years in the country in whose team they wish to compete and must provide the IJMC with documentary proof of the period of residence.
(d)
They must obtain the agreement of their National Team to their membership of that country's team.
(e)
On returning to their country of citizenship an individual will immediately qualify for consideration for membership of that country's team, without the need for a period of residency. The IJMC has to be informed in writing of such changes in circumstances.
