Hi again:

You can see in the video that I use only 2S Li-Po 3000 for turbine and no problem.

BR from Spain.

Kerosene start is fine on 2s LiPo, the only time you need 3s LiFe is for diesel start.

The new version of the manual recommends 3 cell A123 for kero start
I used that for my K80 @ 30 deg F and it fired up first try.

Sounds like your 2S lipo has some issues. Try measuring the battery voltage with a voltmeter directly at the battery during the startup phase...especially when the FACED engages the igniter. This will give you an idea if your battery is defective. Batteries are hit and miss....sometimes they work flawlessly for years and sometimes they do not work straight out of the box.

You could be getting a voltage drop somewhere between your battery and your igniter that is being masked by using the higher voltage LiFE pack. You are burning Kero? I will be running diesel in my 170F and I was told by Barry that you need a higher voltage for the igniter to ignite the diesel. He recommended a 3S LiFE pack. I am going to use a 3S 4200 LiFE.

2s lipo is 7.4 volts, maybe 8.2 when fully charged.
You need 8 v minimum tostrt it.
Use 3 cell A123

Without measuring the voltage with some sort of meter you are just guessing as to the cause.

Yes i did measure the voltage and i saw something incredible!![X(]

From a full charge ,brand new Flightpower battery 2s 5000mAh the voltage ,when the turbine start to spinning, had a voltage drop down to 7.9V!!![]

That means from 8.4v full charge to 7.9v with the first spin of the turbine!!!

Why this don't happens to my P120SX?

Maybe the Kingtech needs more volts for kero versions.

as per my post #21 i still beleive you have a lipo problem and you should check it or even better try again with a new one or borrow one just for a start up that is if you want to use lipo.
a sudden drop from 8.4 to 7.9 clearly indicates a problem. as i wrote before my lipo from 8.4 went down to 8.14 after 2 flights.

I tested the battery by putting her in a glow plane with 6 standard servos on it and gave me 11 flights!

I was checking her, between the flights and after these 11 flights has 73% power left on the battery!!

It was not the battery!! it was brand new as i said before!

Maybe every Kingtech has his own whims!!

What can i say?

When you measured the 7.9 volts, was that measured duringt he start sequence or was it measured after you tried to start the turbine?

A drop to 7.9 from 8.4 on a 5000 mah lipo would, to me, tell me that the battery is defective. A few years ago, I spent 100$ on a brand new Thunder power 2100 3S battery. It lasted one 2 minute flight in my 450 heli and then it failed. The heli was not the problem as i had 3 other Thunder Power batteries that I had used in the heli with no problems. It was a faulty battery directly from the factory. Don't be fooled becuase it is a brand new battery.

If i were you, i would try plugging a watt meter inline between your turbine battery and your ECU. This would tell you the voltage drop on the battery but more importantly it would tell you how many amps your battery is delivering during the start sequence. Without going into battery theory, testing a 5000 mah battery by powering 6 servos in a small airplane is a flawed test as it does not put enough load on the battery.

See posts #28 and #31 above.

3 cell A123 battery. The new manual on Kingtech USA recommends the A123 3 cell for the Kero start versions. They must have done that for a reason.
