Guys,

I started a website (http://VirginiaJets.shutterfly.com) for the upcoming event. I have posted some pictures of the airport and even some of the flying guys did this weekend. I will continue to add/update the website, as I gather more information. If you have any suggestions, please do not hesitate to share them with BillJ or me. Thanks

Its 504 Hangar Road , Hillsville, VA 24343. You can see it from Interstate 81 between exits 19 and 14. Hangar Rd is the main entrance to the airport (KHLX ?) turns off Airport Rd.

That's a heck of a drive. I'm only about 2 hr's away, and have to think about if I can make time. BUT... I have to do something since the club I fly with now isn't going to be friendly to jets. (nice of them to tell me after I get my waiver)

To keep it on track... I'm doing what I can to come down to the event this year. Looks like a good time.

STUART,(stuhig) from our group has got us hooked up with a website...Lots of pics there of the flying site at ground level pilot station from some test hops done this past weekend. 4200 ft of smooth sailing virginiajets.shutterfly.com

Several of us from NC are planning to make the trek up there. Thats just a couple of weeks after our First in Flight Jet Rally in Wilson NC. We'll certainly be dropping plugs for your event during ours.

Got the word that our plans for a local smokehouse to cater a BBQ dinner at the event site on Sat Nite are a go... Good food and great company ....Look up our crew at Joe Nall 2012
