Scott

Can't keep a good guy down...he's mad for it!
Least you have a good grounding on these twins. Still need actual tank space sizes...The P-20SX with less than 20oz each isn't going to be much fun!

Hes ordered 16oz tanks right? the p20 use only 90ml full throttle per minute, thats still a fair while on 16 once on each tank ... it really light and I will be surprised if its flown at full throttle.

There must be loads of space in there for whatever tank you want. I accept weight might be an issue but heck have enough fuel

A p20 will use 90ml a minute in full power according to the JC website ...

1 Imperial fluid ounces = 28.4130742 millilitres according to Google
16 oz = 455ml approx (plus whats in the UAT) according to calc.exe

Is'nt that 5 minutes at full throttle? (Say 4 to be safe)

Have I got my calcs correct? You have me marginally concerned ...

Looking at the size/weight of this model + the size/power of this two P-20, I'm really sure it's overpowered and that you will never be full power outside of take-off !

This model is set for weight of 4.2 to 4.7Kg with twin 90mm EDF. With your two P20 you will have a ratio push/weight aroud 1 or better wich is waaaaay overpowered for a liner style plane ! This is not a speed model, nor an aerobatic model, and even less a 3D model ! This kind of plane is really aerodynamic effective and need really low power to flight and built up speed. It's more like a glider than a Rafale !

I've seen lot's of liner flying with turbine and the good push/weight ratio seem's to be 0.5 and it far more than the "real one's" have to take-off everyday.

Most of flight will be done with very low power on the stick to keep the speed in an acceptable value. So flight time will be waaaay longer than the 4 minuts full power.

My Jetcat P160SX is rated for 570mL per minut. As I have a 5.2L tank in my Futura 2.5m, I should have 9 minuts full throttle. But currently I have a timer on my transmitter set to 12 minuts and after landing it's common to have 1/3 tank quantity still in the plane... And I'm flying full time aerobatic like F3A routines, not only turn around the field...

These P20sx's it doesnt suggest a position to mount them (not glow plug for +-45 deg) are they at the correct angle ...

Quite and enjoyable afternoon ...

Hi Duncan I buyd the vortex a while back from a chap in Kent I flew it many times then upgraded the retracts to tam jets!! With trailing link legs! It now has a p20sx in ther plane is a good flyer flys like the Ă©lan but a mini version of it!! You can get one from nitro planes in us! Or best to put an wanted add on the classifieds! I'm sure thers many of them around when I buyd mine it was not in the best state however Scott sorted it all out for me and the plane has just been flying perfectly since then
