Default SoCal Kero

Well it looks like Home Depot is not stocking the 5 gal pails of Kero in southern Calif anymore. Couple this with the fact that no companies in this area dispense bulk pump kero and the pickins are pretty slim. That only leaves us with JetA and I know lots of people (like me) just wont use if due to the smell. After a few hours on the phone I did find one distributor that will sell the 5 gal pails for $33.50. Its a bunch but still $10 less than Home depot. The place is in Paramount, Western Petroleum . PM me if you are interested and I will get you the contact info. Scotty

Scotty:

I live in Escondido and have a distributor that I work with. 5 gal pails of Kero are $40 out the door from me. If you are interested, contact me at [email protected].

LT Sawyer was where I got it but they stopped pumping into private containers, they will rent you a container but I have not checked the price out the door.

You might try Sawyer Petroleum (Shell Distributor). They have outlets in several LA area locations. I got pricing there on pails and 55 gal drums of Kero. If you get a few guys together that use smoke oil, they also sell it in 55 gal drums a LOT cheeper than you will pay one gallon at a time.

Actually Home Depot does still carry 5 gal of Kero. They have just started to split it into two 2 1/2 gal plastic jugs that are sold together as a five gal unit. I saw them at my local Home Depot today. Price is still the same, though. High!

I saw the 5gals at the door at the riverside store just the other day. And they have the 2x 2 1/2 to make five bunch of them.

Ace Hardware carrys Kleenstrip kero, not cheap though. We have a good local fuel distributor out here in Phx and get it from the pump. They recently went back to the clear kero instead of the red dye stuff.

Well thats why the SKU for the 5 gal came back 0 for all of the stores in So cal then. I am picking up 10 pails from Western Pet today for the $33.50 (plus tax of course ) If all works well will let you know. David, let me know if you want the contact name there, it is ten bucks less than HD, Scotty

Scotty,

I've still been successful buying the Home Depot 5 gal cans on clearance. I bought a pallet of 24 5 gal cans for 19.99 each last month. Should suffice for now. Those 5 gal cans at the front door of the Riverside store are probably on clearance! That's where they put them at the end of the season sale.
