That Wyvern is simply stunning. So happy to see there are still people who like to build unique airplanes these days. Incredible work!

Yes the results are known. But unless someone took notes of all the awards given out, you just have to wait like everyone else.

Thanks Geoff.. ,
Not so sure about a good margin. I would have liked to have been a bit in front coming out of static, but that A-6 is a masterpiece as regards building. I will have to flog Graeme a couple of times and make him try harder next time
In all seriousness. I could have never have won it without his unbelievable building and documenting skills ( Loads of people forget how making a top notch documentation can make all the difference)

I am not the most competitive pilot out there.. I seem to like the showing off flying stuff more ( Just in case you hadn't noticed ) However. Top Gun is an event that I have read about and watched since I was a kid learning to fly. It's always been a dream of mine to be invited there and fly, so to do it and win is just like all my birthdays arriving at once.

Regards Al

Congrats on the Team Win Ali. Spectacular flying.
And thanks for taking the time to be my caller as well.

Had your engine not quit in the Mig you would have placed much higher in Pro-Am also.

See you in Kentucky

Thanks John, and not bad going on your behalf too.. 3rd is a damn good spot after so long away.
Yep, the Mig flame out was my only bummer of the event, that flight was going well up till then, and I was feeling real comfortable. Oh well! Maybe next time!

flames come out... of the motor No seriously! No flames came out, but it does appear as if the magnets decided that they no longer wanted to be part of the motor any longer

Hey Mate!

I figured the only scores that anyone wanted to see anyway was Pro-Am Sportsman...you know...the class where the competition was keen, cut throat, intense, chocked full of the "who are you guys again" of the R/C world...LOL.

Actually, the site I found the scores on did not have Team...but congrats on your spectacular win...you certainly earned it!

Boli

PS. Want me to sign you up for Sportsman at Kentucky...there is a spot open for you...ahem...LOL!

The flying field. Museum and School at one end, Hangar with $50 mill Boeing BBJ's at the other. A jet crashed 25 feet from a historic aircraft and Friday about 12 school busses showed up and resulted in our maneuver turns having to be cut short. The field is great for small planes and prop jobs. Several pilots got warnings for overflying restricted areas.
Scary. My father-in-law (ex A&P) told me what it cost to fix an old citation wing that a guy had bumped into with a loader (mid 6 figures maybe more?), it always worries me to fly around parked full size. Would that be covered under site owners or does your personal insurance (and/or AMA) have to cover that?

Thaks for the great pics and when did you move to florida?!? I have a camera question for you I will PM.

Later,

JC,

Thanks for taking all of these awesome pics...mine too!

Congrats as well for your great 3rd place in Pro...you flew against some real pros in your class.

See you at the park and thanks again for all of your help at Top Gun,

Boli

My buddy Boli Muentes placed 3rd at his first ever Top Gun. Way to go!!!

The Tucano finally flies like it is supposed to do with JetCat SPT5 V3 power. Looking forward to doing some formation flying soon Boli.
