Door Sequencers and Spektrum
Hello all
In building my F9F Panther I need a door sequencer that will open doors put gear down and then close doors again. THEN open doors put gear up and close doors again.
I know this is a simple function and most sequencers do this. The problem I am having is that the one I have tried (The ASSAN one) works very well but it aint no good at switch on. The switch on sequence you have to follow causes the gear and doors to throw and this will I fear break things. This one is therefore in the bin/trash
What sequencers are people using that basically sit there and do nothing when the plane is switched on and only works when you actually shrow the retract switch.
Any advice would be appreciated
I am using Spektrum DSM2 and new jetronics duel acting electronic valves

I have used the minihobby sequencer on several models with great success.

I know its not a sequencer but I have the UP2/UP4 combo in my Panther. Keeps the nose doors open while the main doors cycle close when the gear is down. Has worked flawlessly with no issues.

RE: Door Sequencers and Spektrum
Thanks for all your help guys. I think I will go with this one. I just sested the Type 1 version and it worked ok. ie no strange stuff at switch on so I am hoping the type 2 will be ok too. Only thing with this one is you cant adjust the travel on a servo throught it. As I am using electronic valves this should not be a problem

did you rebind ??
did you rebind ??
It actually has a very good feature that it does nothing at switch on untill you throw the retract switch 3 times fast to power it up. The problem then is that it throws a little wobbly and throws the servos. It might work better with the 2 jetronic valves I have on the way

Sounds like your problem is the radio. I should change it for a Futaba. I have never had to 'rebind' or had a problem with my RCBee sequencers, which are inexpensive and work great.
