Cool deal, when u get the 180 flying if you get a chance check the thrust on it. Thinking it will be pefecto for a 1/5.5 f16
ORIGINAL: jet time
Got my name on it!! Look at the cockpit! Just picked up a new K180 from Barry for it. Should be perfect.

Nicos, it is supposed to be for "commander". I will fix it along with the tail lettering when I get it.
Fender, the 180 should be perfect for the new F-16. I wouldn't worry about power! My original one was 1/2 power on a P200 and this is 10lbs lighter!!
Still wondering why you guys would want my name on your planes....[]

Good looking A-7 Lowell!!! Your A-7 looks like it has leading edge slats, did the original FEJM prototype have them ?? I wouldnt think they are really not needed as they have been landing this jet without even using the flaps!! Good luck with it, i hope to see it flying soon.

Vin, mine is the first one with the leading edge slats. Your right, they land so nice without flaps that it really is just for scale.
R...I do hope to have it done and ready for KJ. It would be nice to get it up with Lewis's!
Dantley, I hope to have it next week and get right on it. Everything is here for it so it shouldn't take to long to get it done.

Another success, From the videos I have seen it seemed like a faster than normal landing speed, is that about normal or do they slow down more on landing? Just wondering so when I fly mine I will have a rough idea of landing speeds. Good job thats a small runway to land on for sure.

RE: FLY EAGLE JET models 2012
hey guys, it Jose from Miami Fla.....i just wanted to clarify that the tomcat is a well stable flyer.... I was flying with a 90 degree crosswind of 8 to 11 mph. This bird was not at all affected by the wind. The maiden occurred in Sebastian Beach Florida, on Monday 05-28-2012
My runways at Mako's Jet Club is 545ft long. As you can tell from the video, my tomcat took off between 250-350 Ft. I also discovered that the functional air brakes do a wonderful job at slowing her down. I'm working on the video of the maiden where you can really see her slow down. I land with 15 degree, full length flaps and full air brake. At the flare, keep the pitch up no more than 10 degrees and maintain some power for a soft landing....I yet have to sweep the wing, but will do in the near future. I'm going to Kentucky jets, where supposedly there going to be 4 tomcats including mine. I want to thank all that gave me the heads up on what to look for in the flying characteristics of the tomcat.
Lowell Wexler, Ali Manchinchi, Mark Hinton, Robert Moore, Flyeagle and who can for get Marvin Alvarez(test pilot) and Miguel Alvarez(builder) for an awesome experience and great plane, Henry and the modellbau team for giving us access to a 3000ft runway.
if Anyone has questions regarding the tomcat feel free to contact me at [email protected]
thanks guys for all the support.

I was going to try and have mine ready for KY but still no f-14, exotic paint schemes take time, my order was placed around first of Feb. Should be any day now
will be nice to see them fly in person and pick brains before I fly mine.

The mail lady said, "The lading says it's a toy airplane, but it must be really small 'cause I've never carried a box this big that weigh's so little". I replied, "actually it's really big". My summer (in Arizona, it's 112F outside so we build in the summer and fly all winter when it's 70F) project just arrived from China, via NYC, if you can figure that one out. A new F-15, all done up in Honeycomb on the outside and a carbon fiber interior. A custom build and Fly Eagle got everything perfect. Lowell, it exceeds my expectation; but of course it needed to as for this old SALT to fly an AF machine it has to. Thanks for the pictures along the way, and particularly for the constant up-dates with respect to the project. We'll have her ready for Desert JETS........doesn't take long to put servo's and turbine in it. As the mail lady said, "this thing is really light".

Great news Chris. Can't wait to see it. I know you'll have a blast with it. As always, it was a pleasure working with you. Let me know if there is any thing else you need.
