Beave.....

Thanks. I agree. Will purchase a 24 x 12 and try it. It needs to be the Turbo Prop version or can it be the normal one ?

Gonzalo,

Just get a regular 24 x 12. It's good for 8,000 RPM so you will be fine with the limiter set to 7750.

I have ordered two (2) Bielas 24 x 12 (one for my Tucano), so know I just have to wait. In the meanwhile, I will be trying a 25 x 12 to see if I can get some additional rpm's if compared to the 24 x 14.

I have received some pm's asking for some install pictures, so I will share the ones I have.

Thanks Cristian. Just need to finish a couple of details in the plane.

Today I will set the iGyro and next week I'm going to work on finishing the painting of the canopy (the original plane has a smoke tinted top) and also I'm going to paint the rims in white color.

I've been also thinking on improving the airflow inside the fuse, so I will study the option of installing a little vent in the front and some small holes in the rear landing gear bays so that air can flow more freely.

Today we flew the Marchetti with a 3 blade 25 x 12 prop. There was a noticeable change in the performance of the plane. It looked faster and a little bit more agile. Still waiting for my 24 x 12 to arrive.

Checked the prop rpm's after the flight and the maximum rpm's during flight were 6400 rpm. With the 24 x 14 they were 6200 rpm.

Don't understand how there is a limit of 8000 rpm in the turbine prop if the real life rpm's are far from that.

Boli.... what kind of rpm's is your computer showing after one of your flights ?

I was finally able to fly my plane today with all the modifications I had planned to do after the first couple of flights and I must say that now it is a completely different plane. I'm very happy with it.

- Install the kero start so now starts are a breeze.

- Install the Biela 24 x 12

- Close any gaps that would allow hot air from the engine cowling area go into the fuselage, in order for the turbine to get some fresh/cold air.

- Open some holes in the fuselage in order for the turbine to have some fresh/cold air.

- Open additional holes in the bottom of the engine cowl in order to improve airflow and cooling capacity of the gearcase.

Now I'm reaching the expected 7000 rpm's and the plane climbs with authority. Mi operating temperature also went down big time.

Thanks to the builder.... Claudio Rojas. Great job.

Sweeeeet!

Love this plane. Torn between this one and the Tucano or just finish my 35% Extra conversion project.

Cheers,

Hi Caludio,
Yes it will fit in your A6. The last Siai that we supplied this year turn key for a customer arrived in a Vauxhall station wagon. Engine choice.. If it were me, I would fit a DA100. But I know of people that have fitted the Valach engines ( 4 stroke twin cylinder ) But for me I do not want the engine sticking out the sides of the cowling.. plus I am not 100 confident with the Valach brand. I have seen one fly amazingly well ( probably the best performance ) with electric and of course, we have no supplied 3 of them with turbo prop and they went well. If I do another, it will be DA100 Power for sure.
I hope this helps? Regards Al

You are welcome Claudio.
Yes, I do sell this model. I have a hobby shop and we sell all the Carf range as well as other products. I can supply the kit for the Marchetti. I can also supply what we call turn key versions which are fully built and tested examples. We have supplied 3 of these in the last two years.
As for the electric. I am not sure exactly what set up. I know it was a big Hacker. I would imagine a 150 motor on 12 S 10amp battery..
