CARF Siai Marchetti
Sorry for the double thread. I did look for the old one but couldn't find it.
One year and one day after seeing the first CARF Marchetti on the line at Joe Nall, and saying to Andreas " I want one, but I am going to put a turboprop up front" It was done. In the meantime. CARF actually released the correct TP variant of the Marchetti ( Longer slimmer nose)
For me, it has always been the classic short nose piston variant of the Marchetti that I have loved, so it had to be that one I went for Despite the advice of a few that I should really get the proper TP version, I decided to give it a shot and modify the standard piston version.....
When I say I, I really mean the two guys behind our build service. Steve and Matt Bishop of Bishop Aviation did a sterling job of modifying the front end in order for the Jet Cat SPT-5 to fit.
All pretty standard set up really. JR 8411's all round. Spektrum 12ch Rx into a power box. Currently flying on a 12x but will be switched over to my DX18 next week I hope. Lights are actually the CARF Tucano set. Smoke is a power box pump and the Powerbox smoke oil ( Super clean considering how much smoke is being produced )
To say I am delighted with how this has worked out would be the understatement of the year. Thanks Matt and Steve. All those extra hours paid off!

Don't you guys worry.
I still hate the smelly, oily , nasty stuff. Adds weight, takes time and effort to fill up and clean off. Probably 3 -5 times as much work/ time goes into applying the stuff, and cleaning it off than you actually get from the product itself.... But the public seem to like it so I had to fit it
Regards Al

Hey Rich, Its a light set that we sell from Germany. Not the cheapest, but super bright and really controllable. I can turn the strobes on first, then the Navs and then the landing lights.. Or my favourite.... All at once full beam!
