Hi Guys,
Some of you must have thought that this project got killed or left in between for something as there hasn't been any updates in a long time on here, well lot's of things happened, life issues, moved into new house, business and others but alot of progress have been made since last update and if i kept writing it will be tomorrow afternoon and typing will not end, so to make all this short and to the point, i'm uploading picture from last Fridays tow trial tests with a scratch built rc tow tug!
This was the first time for Concorde to be outside as whole airplane and for the tug to tow it on the street!....

Terry,
Once all the fiberglass skin panels are glued on these open frame wing structures then these wings will produce more then enough lift.....
Soon I will be making complete set of molds for this model, if anyone in US is interested in a complete composite kit, now is the time to reserve it and if you can help with the project then I will partially offset your help and services from the cost of your kit.

instead of that tricky covering with fiberglass sheets.. why not just cover it with 2mm balsa and then glass it with 100g glass? better and stronger surface? and i guess even lighter?

I like to use different materials with this build and different techniques also. It's less laborious to skin with with FG skin panels Vs wood skin first and the adding fiberglass over it, then sanding it down to smooth finish etc etc....this way it's one time shot and rest it primer and paint....

Both engine nacelles are under construction.
First one is being made from depron foam out of Dollar Rama's while foam board. These nacelles are very tricky ones to make. One really needs to study these as they seems easy to make but it's different story when you actually make these. Had to study few different blue print drawings to understand there shape...

Actually everyone at all ages love to see my fleet when it's out on the drive way or on my court.
Sorry for very late reply, model has progressed since, waiting for the glue to arrive so fiberglass wing skin panels could he attached to the wing's open frame structure.
Working on making wing body fairing now days and it's taking time to do it right.

Would a model of this scale and calibre being a edf model be allowed in this section of the site?
Length 17 Feet
Wingspan 7 Feet
Power: 4 x 90MM Freewing edfs with 1750KV motors
Expected weight: 25lbs-27lbs
Scale features: Lights, drooping nose with retractable visor, operating thrust reverser's, wheel brakes
Landing gear: Electric retracts with scratch built or modified from commercially available struts.
I started to work on this model 2 years ago, time went so fast!, it feels like i started it 6 months ago!. Model is being built from original factory drawings from Angelo French in France. Fuselage was scanned into 3d cad program and was made into 3d model n then into pdf files, I then made my own plans for it. Used foamcore as main base of the fuselage structure by making templates first and then cutting parts into sections. Wings are built from the original drawings with changes to thickness of the wing root ribs, other then that its from the original drawings.
Wing structure is built up from 3/32" balsa sheets, there will be spars that will be copulated with CF to take loads on the 3 main hard points. Trailing edge spars and 2 spars that will pick up nacelles will be made from 1/8" lite plywood. Few ribs and spars had to be generated as they were lacking on the drawing version i got. No big deal.
I do plan on making molds of this model post it's maiden flight and then make and sell short kits in future.
"I can't upload any pictures as every night i get these stupid "500 Internal server error." when i try to upload them, ill try later"
