Attention Sherbrooke jets – Passport is required to pass border.
Just a quick note for USA pilots, you will need a passport to pass custom/border.
See you next week-end…

RE: Attention Sherbrooke jets – Passport is required to pass border.
Robin,
Please post the flyer again for this event as a printed copy will help to show border authorities our purpose for entering CA. Also, the link to the airport will assist entering the GPS location for directions. Finally, an "enhanced" driver's license may serveas a passportfor land border crossingsbetween CA and the US. NY has such a license which is recognized by both US and CA border authorities.
We look forward to attending International Radio Controlled Jets 2012 and seeing you on Friday, June 1st.

Enhanced drivers license works for driving across the border but not flying in.

The laws have changed. We use to be able to drive back and forth at will............ but now... you need a passport.
I cant attend... please post up pic of the event.

Canada will not let you in if you have been convicted of DUI or any other felony. We used to snowmobile from Maine into Canada and one of our riders had a DUI and was not let into the country. Good luck with the event and I will attend next year, I have to meet with the airport Manager this weekend for my event (Plum Island Jet Rally).

That's why it's enhanced drivers license so it WILL get you across the border. As will nexus or a passport.
Have fun guys

In Canada you apply for it at your local DMV as you would in the US they will tell you what documentation to bring in , similar to applying for a passport.
