Skymaster Rafael flutter issues ?
Has anyone had any flutter issues with the Skymaster Rafael. On the 2nd flight on the plane was doing opening up the throttle a little and the wings began to flutter very violenlty[X(]. Needless to say the left wing departed and the rest of the plane did a nice flat spin into the ground. The left ailevon was gone and the servo locked up and the right wing servo was stripped. Dont know which came first, wing flutter that killed the servos or servo failure that caused flutter ( 8411 sa's ).

RE: Skymaster Rafael flutter issues ?
I have seen, several of these plow in due to flutter issues. In all cases the builders had glued the servo mounts to the upper skin without any structural attachment to any of the wings frame. This resulted with flutter, servos falling out, and an eventual fireball. I'd attribute this to building mistakes, but also to bad instructions ( or total lack of ) . Look up my youtube channel, there are crash videos of a Rafale, and another of a Gripen that both go in the same way ( they have similar wing design as well ) ... sorry for your loss [:@]

RE: Skymaster Rafael flutter issues ?
The plane had already been partially assembled and the wing servos were installed. The servos were mounted to the lower skin frame. both servos were still solidly mounted in the wing, the linkage was rock solid, had 8-32 studs through the aileron with aluminum servos horns and ball links. Luckily the crash damage was negligable so it can be inspected but the airframe is a loss.
What servos had they been running.
Thanks for the input.
