RE: Fly Eagle F-14 Build
Yes IGyro will do stock mix for you and with the different flight modes in your radio you can change the rates / expo for pitch and roll and send it through the IGyro . They say you don't need expo with the IGyro cause it gives you some help with sensitive controls and pitch changes. I have to experiment with it and the F-14 still. On the F-18F I use about half of my normal expo when the IGyro was active.

After seeing the your 18 in GA I would love to run one in all my jets, but almost 500 for a gyro is keeping me away.

I think IGyro and F-14 will be a winning combo because of the changes in pitch and roll with wing swing.

62lbs thrust with two cheetahs dry weight is 56.2 lbs with 16 lbs fuel. Electric was 53 lbs. big jump with all systems. Need 44 oz in batteries in nose just to balance .

RE: Fly Eagle F-14 Build
Hey dubd and Jim, I was up messing with mine today and my pipes hit my servo rods for the elevators. I dont want to move them to the bottom side because the amount of end point throw reduction that will be required to prevent the rods for hitting the servo. Even if I did this the pipe is only mm from the servo arm. Wondering if they glued the the ply mounts out to far? Dubd any chance on getting a picture of yours?

Thought about worst case scenario for the wing hatch. Full power 200 mph then have a single or dual flameout. That would cause a huge buildup of pressure in the fuselage so I added 4 more latches to take the load.

Yeah mine touches I will check again when I get the turbines in and pipe secure but it looks like I will have to change them around. Its that same one on mine just the bottom bolt on the elevator end as well the other 3 points clear just fine.

I did the same as Jim. works fine but a fiddle to tighten the grub screw that locks the elevator rod. Also cut the rudder actuation rod to give more clearance. Tom.

A little update after looking at fejs build picks i noticed they didnt use the supplied spacer. So when i removed it and used a washer like they did i plenty of clearance.

it's been a while, but if I remember correctly...its the first spar of the swept wing mechanism, mine flew great with the CG there...
.....here's my video of the build and first flight...as far as the throws went...I went maximum allowed throw with lots of expo on high rates and half that on the low rates. Pay close attention to the rear servos on the elevator. Since I had the first one on the east coast flying, the G1(BEFORE HONEYCOMB) tomcat had issues with flutter if you don't reinforce the elevator mounting brackets.

1:15 in the video shows the CG with gear up and down.

They had structural flutter (fuselage) , where as mine was just stabs...., I forgot who's jet it was with the sundown paint scheme, I think it was dante's...who filmed it, right before the crash...which stated the flyeagle banned on their jets....
mine was a tank...72lbs fueled....with 2 cheetahs....
