Tips n tricks for lighting kit install?
Got a details4scale lighting kit. Was looking for (pointers to) tips and tricks for installing it. E.g. on:
- What's the best glue to use for the fixtures?
- How to get the light fixtures into places you can't reach from the outside?
- A123 or Lipo to power it? I understand the controller may get warmer when powering it from a Lipo?
- Other learnings I can apply?
Thanks in advance!
Hans.

you cannot power it with a lipo unless regulated, 7.2 volts max input. all my lights were installed from the outside in, fishing some of the wires out was the biggest hassle, thick CA or canopy glue work well for the fixtures and lenses.

RE: Tips n tricks for lighting kit install?
Thanks Kevin. Must have been confusing the lighting controller with the afterburner ring controller, which can be powered from a 2-cell Lipo. Either way, I'll probably power both of them from a A123 battery.
Any other takers for tips/tricks? Any pointers to installations?
I think I saw a post where somebody recommended to "chisel out" the lenses with a Dremel for more brightness. Any opinions on this?

I have both and plan to run both the AB ring and lights on a A123. Long drill bits work for thin wings, plus most can be ran inside the hing gaps.

Thanks FenderBean. Are you planning to use Canapoy glue, CA or something else? Will the same glue work for glueing the lens into the fuse/wing as the glue for glueing the fixture to the lens?
BTW: following your F-14 and F-15 build threads. Very cool!
