Hello, the aluminum Hitec servo arm 1” length would be ok to use in all surfaces?? I just order the plane and want to order servos.

Regards

I used the black HD arms ... mostly for looks (my plane is black underneath).

I hate to ask but whats the trick to getting air into the system.I have no air retract experience and i dont want to damage anything but i assume this is a oneway valve and i could use a common needle valve used for sports equipment.I have tried a hand pump and it does ot seem to want to take air. What am i missing here I could try something more powerful but i am afraid to damage something.

The front of the hatch opening is a pretty good balance point and will give you a slight nose heavy. This jet has a huge CG range.
On your prior question, use a bicycle needle to put air in. It is a check valve and only lets air go in. Around 110 PSI is all it needs if you don't have leaks.

Thanks i was able to get some air in it with my big shop compressor but only about 20 lbs by the gauge .Not sure whats going on i have everything hooked up no leaks that i can hear.Unless its squeezing back out around the needle and tube when i try to put it in.I seen guys use small compressors and i cant get air in with a big one.Could valve be no good it seems to resist air being forced in.It should be fairly easy to get air in early on .No?

You will need a high psi compressor. One of these works really well:

Takes a lot of psi to push air into the system.

Get a robart fill valve and use that. I've had many of these "one way" valves fail. The robart one has the same needle used in car tires and you can even replace it if needed.

Then put the fill valve in the jet and you can use your pump directly instead of a needed used for balls.

You can see mine next to my guage in the front.

I use the very same set up. Never failed me.

Thank you for the help gentleman!

I am using the ar12120 with two 3300mah 2s li-po.The stock smoke pumps works fine when plugged into the ar12120 on a spare channel. The thing is i would like to use a external 2200 2s li-po for the the smoke pump because i am not crazy about using the rx batts for a smoke pump.I took the two power wires leading to the pump and soldered them to the external batt and left the signal wire plugged into the rx and the pump does not turn on?? any thoughts or opinions??Also any idea how many mah it might draw from the pack on one flight if i just go with using the rx packs?

That pump won't use much power. The JL pump is designed to run straight through the receiver. With 6600mAh you should be fine. While I don't have the smoke in my jet, I have a friend who does and he gets 4 or 5 flights between charges running a 6600mAh LiFe setup.

Your right they don't use much power i read they could run for a half hour straight and use less than 500mah. I will go ahead and use it as intended...Thank you again

What kind of flight times are you guys running the k100 getting... Its has the new single big tank but seems to be the same size as the original two tank set up.Just wondering what i should set my timer for the maiden.

I'm running a Rabbit SP which has a fuel consumption of 12.2oz per minute. I think the k100 is around 12. I'm getting a solid 8min flight with almost a quarter tank in reserve after landing.

I have a K100G, but I am using the three-tank set up (two 900ml saddle tanks and one 1500 ml tank for a total of 3.3 liters). I started with 5 minutes for my maiden, but now I have my timer set to 6.5 minutes which is enough for me. I use about 1.8 liters (i.e. most of the saddle tanks but the front tank is still full). So around 280 ml/minute of actual flight time. That is a lot better than the published 350g (428ml) /minute, but I typically fly around at half throttle and use full throttle at take off and during vertical climbs. I could safely hit 9 or 10 minutes if I wanted to.

If yours tank is 3 liters, you could probably start with your timer at 6 or 7 minutes and adjust after the first flight or two. But I'd suggest measuring the volume first.

Hi Barger, I also am running a K100G and have the 2 x 1500ml tanks and a 600ml rear tank. I have timer set on 8.5 mins and start timer on take off roll and do wheels down gear pass on the final countdown. Most of the time landing with about 800ml of fuel onboard.

I have no idea what you guys are doing. With my k100g I could fly 5 min MAX and the tanks were pretty empty. I fly 3/4 as 1/2 throttle I was get passed by the J3 Cubs

My viper also only uses 2L for 6.5min of good flying - half to 3/4 and full open on the climbs and loops. And do about 4 high speed low passes also. K100 installed.

My typical flying time is 7:30 and got about 1/3 tank left on one tank. I fly with a T12 turbine. Unfortunately, I ended it earlier when I had a mid-air with another Viper. It's such as great flyer, we both are going to get another vipers. Mike

Mike that's on par with Jose and Pauls, that's a really good flying time. I'm hoping the new project will have the same flight time.
