I hate to ask but whats the trick to getting air into the system.I have no air retract experience and i dont want to damage anything but i assume this is a oneway valve and i could use a common needle valve used for sports equipment.I have tried a hand pump and it does ot seem to want to take air. What am i missing here I could try something more powerful but i am afraid to damage something.

Also while i am at it bench ran the k100 and it runs beautiful,Installed today and have everything where i think i want it and it balances level UAT full main tank empty gear down....,picked up at front of hatch opening.Any thoughts on this balance point?

On your prior question, use a bicycle needle to put air in. It is a check valve and only lets air go in. Around 110 PSI is all it needs if you don't have leaks.

Thanks i was able to get some air in it with my big shop compressor but only about 20 lbs by the gauge .Not sure whats going on i have everything hooked up no leaks that i can hear.Unless its squeezing back out around the needle and tube when i try to put it in.I seen guys use small compressors and i cant get air in with a big one.Could valve be no good it seems to resist air being forced in.It should be fairly easy to get air in early on .No?

Takes a lot of psi to push air into the system.

Get a robart fill valve and use that. I've had many of these "one way" valves fail. The robart one has the same needle used in car tires and you can even replace it if needed.
Then put the fill valve in the jet and you can use your pump directly instead of a needed used for balls.
You can see mine next to my guage in the front.

I am using the ar12120 with two 3300mah 2s li-po.The stock smoke pumps works fine when plugged into the ar12120 on a spare channel. The thing is i would like to use a external 2200 2s li-po for the the smoke pump because i am not crazy about using the rx batts for a smoke pump.I took the two power wires leading to the pump and soldered them to the external batt and left the signal wire plugged into the rx and the pump does not turn on?? any thoughts or opinions??Also any idea how many mah it might draw from the pack on one flight if i just go with using the rx packs?

Your right they don't use much power i read they could run for a half hour straight and use less than 500mah. I will go ahead and use it as intended...Thank you again

What kind of flight times are you guys running the k100 getting... Its has the new single big tank but seems to be the same size as the original two tank set up.Just wondering what i should set my timer for the maiden.
#1543
I'm running a Rabbit SP which has a fuel consumption of 12.2oz per minute. I think the k100 is around 12. I'm getting a solid 8min flight with almost a quarter tank in reserve after landing.

If yours tank is 3 liters, you could probably start with your timer at 6 or 7 minutes and adjust after the first flight or two. But I'd suggest measuring the volume first.

Hi Barger, I also am running a K100G and have the 2 x 1500ml tanks and a 600ml rear tank. I have timer set on 8.5 mins and start timer on take off roll and do wheels down gear pass on the final countdown. Most of the time landing with about 800ml of fuel onboard.

My viper also only uses 2L for 6.5min of good flying - half to 3/4 and full open on the climbs and loops. And do about 4 high speed low passes also. K100 installed.
