Hi Hammerdown:

Really is true that in a hard landing the fiber plane look more strong, but what happen with the Balsa Bandit ? I see that are strong enought, really in a fibre glass wing, inside there are a lot of balsa and plywood, the fiber glass is only the outside of the wing, you need that the building structure would be strong, I think.

BR from Spain.

A sheeted wing (either cloth covered balsa or composite honeycomb) is stronger than shrink wrap but has it's downside (harder to repair, more costly to make and more weight). It depends on what you are planning on doing with it. I have a KingTech 170 in my Ultra Flash and I would not feel comfortable with a shrink wrap covered wing the way I abuse the airplane. We put a KT 180 in it at BITW and Ali made it really sing. Only a composite or balsa/fiberglass wing would hold up to a hard pull at 250+. Of course, I never fly over 199.9

I'm sold...it has the right shape, the right look and the size is impressive. Wood or Glass can be argued from both sides until the end of time. Each has its benefits and each can be made strong imo.

any updates on the release?

Cheers!

OK, here you go David....

The contents were very well wrapped with packaging materials and well secured within the doubled, dual walled boxes. However, out of all the pieces only one has a some minor damage that could be easily repaired.

Will there be a smaller version of this jet? Say for 14-18lb thrust turbines?

Hi Mike, that would be kinda nice or even smaller, but not that I know of, perhaps Joao could verify.

Joao,
I just did my conversion 3Kg is too small Let's do one in the middle 12-18lb thrust turbines. Easier to see and would handle grass fields much better.
Thanks,
Mike

I agree. That's too small. Also... since it would be in the range of the 70mm to 90mm EDF kits... it would need to be in the range of $200. Otherwise... there will be too much competition with the other Chinese kits.

Bring it out in the 18# class... and keep the price in check... and you will sell them.

I agree with the boys Joao, KT is bringing out K-55 and between that and the K-80 would be perfect.

Its true, and there is not a sport jet in the 12-18lb class like EXM that isn't composite. If priced well and equipped with trailing links for grass it will sell like crazy!!!!!!!!
