Jet Speed Event 2012
At last! and this time in Manaus, Brazil... 24th august 2012. This kind of events doesn´t happen all the time, so this is your chance for attending one. If you think that your jet is fast you may come visit this place:

The race day is coming! we have to take the jet by plane to Manaus. (4.000Km from my home town) however the Super Hotspot doesn´t fit my travel box so I called again help from my friend João Kesikowski. he designed a 2nd.generation jet case that looked like a Messerchmidt cockpit and the invevitable happened:
First idea: Why not flying the box with a turbine and a set of wings and fin?
Second idea: Why we not go inside it? (as you can see, many Polish descendants have great ideas in manned rocket science !!!) [8D]

Well, just contacted with Winfried Ohlgart from Jet Power Magazine to publish in his fine mag a page with pictures and more details on this fantastic event, http://jetpower-magazin.com/?lang=en
Sent him a brief report and I will be payed again for this work! Of course and as I did before, my payment will be donated for this place, near Winnie´s home for minimizing tax and money transfer costs. (anyway you can also donate, if you please) at http://katharinenhof.rtrk.de/
A quick resume is that I did last place (LOL) at a crawling 415 Km/h.. my problem was a landing gear that didn´t fully retracted and above all my eyesight that was a lot worse than in 2005! anyway it was great fun. the big winner this year was Luiz Otavio de Oliveira wich did 478 km/h with his Bandit.
This was a great event and I must congratulate Ary Figueira for all the work and effort he did for us to have such a great time there! (btw, this is my favorite picture of the event)

thanks! it makes a difference in the final speed. The inspiration came after I saw this picture in the early dial-up internet days.
