RAFMAA/JMA MARHAM JULY 28 & 29
All those wishing to attend this event must book in by Sunday July 15. This is the cut off date for which there are no exceptions so book in with Roger Kilbey in the usual manner giving your name, address and car details. The event is proceeding as planned and all we need is good weather!
Unfortunately the meeting at RAF Scampton has had to be cancelled due to local complications, the next JMA eveent after Marham will be Westonzoyland on September 1 & 2.

RAFMAA/JMA Marham is taking place this coming weekend and if the weather stays as it is forecast we are in for a fantastic weekend! The cut off date has long since past and no more entries are being taken. Please remember to bring photographic identification with you such as a passport or driving licence. Marham will be the last RAF venue for this year with th last JMA held event at Westonzoyland on September 1 & 2.

Looking forward to my third jet meeting in a row despite feeling poorly today caused by getting too much sun over the weekend at Elvington.
Spent the day servicing the Hunter and UL so they are also prepped.
Geoff.

Local command at RAF Marham have stipulated that under NO circumstances are there to be any photographs taken while on the airfield. A RAFMAA photographer will be taking photos which will be vetted before release.
For anyone still looking for accomodation, i have stayed at the Ramada Jarvis in King Lynn on a few occasions, it is 13 miles from Marham. It has its own restraunt or you could go across to the retailpark which is just across the roundabout.

Access to the airfield will be from the main gate from 0830 onwards on both days, i think the flying finishes around 1700/1800 but will confirm that on the day.

and NO comments about Marham being " El Adem with grass " which is how those of us based there used to refer to it ! A huge base in the 60s with four V squadrons there! See you there, Hawk ready !

I am most grateful to you, Dick, Thank you.
regards,
David
( looking forward to going back to Marham after all these years, where I first flew proportional R /C with a Flight. Link equipped, Merco 35 powered Super 60, (and getting to an indicated Mach 1, probably about .98 true, in a Mk 1 Victor !!) from the peri track near the tower, nostalgic to say the least and Halcyon days ! )
regards,
David

Bit of a long shot. Does anyone coming to Marham have a large kit box still in one piece? I'm after something to ship a model. Needs to be about 180cm long x approx 60 x 60.
Anyone taken delivery of something nice recently and not broken the box up?
Please let me know if you have anything you could bring.
Thanks
Mark

Just a quick email to thank all the RAFMAA members who hosted us this weekend as they were the perfect hosts.
The site is brilliant as it has masses of open space and a massive wide runway.
I am afraid there are no photos as we were asked not to take any due to security concerns.
Geoff.

You should be thanking me for then telling him not to!!
Talking of thanks, as per the others a big thank you to all involved in getting the go-ahead for this event. I know how tricky it was. Considering how relaxed and well it went I'm hoping there will be less resistance from the powers that be getting it scheduled for next year. A great venue and group of guys.
