RE: Elvington Jet meet
A very enjoyable weekend with good weather on both days! bit of trek for me but well worth it! Elvington boys hospitality was superb . . . . . thank you! It was my first Elvington and i will certainly be back! I had to come back via Redhill on my way back to Somerset to pick up a model, was making good time and then the M1 & M25 spoiled my progress. Currently taking a break in Reading services . . . . need to stretch my legs!

Some great flying and stunning models especially Geoff's hunter Ali's A10 and Mirage flown very scale like! nice to meet so many new people ! Thanks Ali for showing me what my viper is capable of in the right hands! Really impressive ! Especially the last long knife edge no excuses for me now! Time to give it some stick ! all be it 100ft higher lol! The only picture I managed to get was of the hanger !

RE: Elvington Jet meet
What a great weekend that was, I must thank the Elvington and JMA Posse for the use of a superb site and hospitality, looking forward to next year now ! The standard of flying was very impressive and Ali's A-10 and Mirage 2000 were definately in the full trouser activity class [8D]. Geoff Whites Hunter and UL flights were showstoppers, my guest on Sunday was my Brother-in-law once removed and he was speechless ( always thought an impossibility for a Yorkshireman ) at the Hunters and A-10's flights, well done all.

Had a great day on Saturday with over 100 jets, good company and wall to wall sunshine what more could you ask for. Lucky pilot of the day awardmust go to Martin Lees for finding a faulty elevator during pre flight checks (better on the ground than in the air)Thanks to Jeff Sewell of Zedjet's who had all the gear onsite so we were able to build a new wiring loom and getthe Bobcat backinto the air.
Iwill add more pictures over a number postings:

A photo of my BVM EDF MIG ( Hows that for a three letter abbreviated mouthful) just breaking ground. I still can't believe I have another large EDF, and find it even harder to believe that I love it so much. Once the charger is set up and running, it is such an easy and reliable set up. 45-50 min charge times mean that I just fly and charge. So much so. I logged 8 flights with it these past two days ( Very rare for me to log more than two on a single model at an event these days)
With other stuff to keep my busy between Mig flights, I never once found myself waiting for a pack to come of charge. I look forward to getting more than one battery, as well as my F-86 BVM EDF to keep the Mig company.
Regards Al
