This would be a nice color scheme for the large F-16.

Hi David:

Here are some photos to show this color scheme.

This one is larger F16 3D version which is same size as 1/4.6 scale.

We love this color very much too.

Thanks
James

Default RE: Fly Eagle F-16 1:4.6 Advance, wow

One week after opening the box Phil Noel @ Pinnacle Aviation had my new Fly Eagle F-16 sat on the runway ready to test. Not fully finished as yet. We left off lights, pilot and other detailing to make sure we kept it as light as possible. 5 back to back flights went off without a hitch. Every system worked and all apart from the Slats worked flawlessly. Even the slats were more of a set up thing, which I cured by locking them up. Even then it was not that the failed, I just felt that a slight variation in trim maybe attributed to movement in the slats. 4 flights were made with slats locked up and to be honest I did not notice much difference between those and the flight that I did with them working.
I am really impressed, surprised, pleased etc etc with how this one has worked out. I am very much looking forward to seeing it next week after Phil has had some time on it with some weathering to bring the details out. I am also hoping that the lights and other touches will work out over time.
As my first Fly Eagle Jet Experience, I have to say its been very pleasant thus far. I will be sure to keep this thread updates as I continue I hope.
Regards Al

Not yet, but I am sure there will be soon. If not from the test flight and set up session, there will be from the week after next when we fly it at Jet Power.

Incredible that you were able to take off from grass with such tiny wheels.
Well, with enough power you can always get a rock to to roll \ii/_

Hi Ali:
Awesome job from you. Keep posting this bird for us. We got same color, but yours looks more beautiful than mine. [:'(]

Nicos:
We should have another one F16 Thunder Bird color at our stand for Jet Power fair. Ken should have the new color ready to fly there. Ken got several flights on this new color. He is trying to bring this one there, but need to find out how to bring it back and  pass China custom. I will see you there.

PS: Falcon, we flew it by Behotec 180 on grass field too. no problem at all with those wheels, jsut perfect.

Thanks
James

Seriously we did fit a Jetcat P200SX.

I am currently weathering the monster, so far I have only worked on the top side with black, I need to do the airbrushing and add the grease, hydraulic and oil stains and then she will be ready for clear coat.

I love the plane and would consider one in my future - but I really HATE the thought of an F-16 flipping and hovering......[:'(][:'(]

Well dont flip and hover it then I hear what you are saying, but I guess its just like the Extra's and Yaks that we seeing 3d flying all the time now a days... It happens and the fact that some people want to do it is just something we have to accept, and appreciate that its improvements in design that make this style of possible flying which will benefit all of us in the long run.
Loving the fact that my F-16 is now getting the Pinnacle Aviation touch. Not loving the fact that I am just flying out of the country and wont be able to see it properly till I unload at Jet power next week
Thanks to Greg Fitzpatrick for this video of one of the early flights. Nothing too exciting in this one I am afraid, but I am super happy that the chute worked, and worked better than I expected ( Thus the slightly premature deployment )
