Hey Ali!

Congrats for the great jet. I am still having a ball with mine... (1:5.5 )

Are the stabs removable from what I understand?

Cheers,
Ziv

Hi Ziv,

Yes they are removable but you have to take the tail one off first then the jet pipe bulkhead and then remove the jet pipe completely before you can get access to the pivot shaft clamps, so I guess yes in a way

Hi Ziv:

Good photo on your F16 1/5.5.

For easy transportation locally , we used to move stabs.

We spend about 10-15 minutes to put the stabs on, pipe in, tail cone on, wings on, fin on (all are removable and easy set up, no servos on wings or fin at all)

spend about 8 minutes to move them.

Thanks
James

Weathering, landing gear lock pins, smokewinders, and wiring for afterburner ring all done. She will be going into the paint shop tomorrow for clear coating.

I will post some photos later.

Oh my lord. That weathering work is truly pro. I wish you were on this side of the pond. I can't believe I'm saying this after swearing I would never in a million years own another FEJ but this jet has me downright drooling. So far no reported problems...everything seems to be working fantastic...I'm hoping to hear some reports after say 20 flights but FEJ might just win me back. The plane is beyond stunning (the aggressor one...).

Can you guys tell me if that landing speed is really that slow or is it just an optical illusion based on size? Are these big scale birds hard to land? Brutally honest would be appreciated.

Hi guys, the paint you see me covering the model in is artist oil paints, I rub it into the paint work and detail on the model the wipe it off with a dry cloth, when the cloth or tissue is covered in the paint you need to change the cloth otherwise you will just move the paint around. It is a little time consuming but the end results are worth it. I use 2k clear coat to seal it all in and protect the detail.

Ok we have changed a couple of things on this model but nothing structural, we have added smokewinders, made a composite brackets and cut the original missiles, I will wire the smoke generators after its clear coated. During the five flights the P200 didn't got to full power, Ali said that there was a fuel restriction so we fitted the fuel tanks with GBRJET Pro fuel filler and 6mm tubing from the tanks to GBRJET CAT to the fuel pump. We have also fitted main landing gear lock pins whilst the aircraft is switched off, we both found that the cylinders relaxed whilst there was no pressure in the system and the mains would collapse ( I forgot to take a photo this evening, I will take one in the morning and post it).

Anyway here are some photos

Please keep the pictures coming. This thread has turned facinating to me. I'm not trying to kiss your rump but the work so far has been a joy to view.

Here are some pre final clear coat shots of the underside of the fuse and landing gear, I have also added the shots of the main gear down lock pin and installation.

Hey all.

Nice video.
Does the nose gear door seem too close to the ground?
In a hard landing or bump in the runway and the nose strut compresses, looks (to me) like it might grab and break the nose door off.

Not meaning to be mean, just my observation.

Mario.
