Check with BVM. They have a pin upgrade for the nose gear of the Skymaster L-39. Not sure of the size though.

Pete,
I had the same pin bend rather than break on mine. What I did was to buy some 6mm drill stock at a local supplier. I then cut it and milled a groove for the e-clip with a dremel and a cut-off wheel. Problem solved! That was a cheap and easy solution

Funny that,
I've just made some 7mm pins for someone who has gone through same thing!a
Since increasing the diameter, there has been no more problems.
Obviously you have to open up the bush hole or remake it.
