Nice work amigo!!!

Last class with OO

ORIGINAL: VF84sluggo

Gents, I have submitted the event briefing to the Whiting skipper, and have included a request for some relief on RV's. It may take a few days to hear back, so be patient.

I offered to operate under a ''probationary'' status; i.e. give us a one-time permission and see how it goes, with the understanding that if we mess it up somehow, the RV/camping issue is dead forever. Hopefully this will be granted. I also mentioned that if security was the issue, the best security we could have would be some RV guys on the field overnight.

Again, please be patient, let this request work its way through the chain-of-command, and keep your fingers crossed!

I figured the campers would stay at the camp site and just drive over to the field and fly. Just a thought
ORIGINAL: DavidR

Ahhh got it! Nice l would enjoy sleeping with my jets as well
ORIGINAL: FenderBean

Is there a small RV park close to holly field? it may be a solution for the RV guys and since we can leave trailers on the site I can hold a couple in my 6x12 this year.
Just not very practical to move a 40' camper trailer, set it up, then take it back down and set it up again several times a day. I hope you can get them to allow it, we did it in the past.

DR

Bean,

That would work in some cases, but in David's and mine and others too, the camper is the airplane trailer... They call them Toy Haulers... It's all or nothing.

Thanks much!

And yes, the last class that averaged 2 per person, as far as we knew...never did an actual count, you understand, just based it on the demographics!

Great to hear, Larry! Look forward to seeing you at Holley.

BTW, does Jaqui have sacks that fit a Skymaster L-39?

Sluggo
I'll check with her Sluggo. My guess would be yes, but I better confirm! If not, she takes all needed measurements at the meet. Actually that works better as you can specify any special preferences wanted before she makes them. Bags are custom fit and any additions of pockets, wing tube slots, flaps, banding etc can be added. She'll have all the color samples with her, and she also offers any special embroidery you might want.

Fenderbean.
I really couldnt say. I stay out of her business!!! I'll live longer that way!!! lolol But you can contact her through her web-site or call her for a quote. Prices are very reasonable Im sure. Personally,,, I had to wash the dishes for several weeks to pay for my bags!!!!

Yep, know Miclot well...small world.

I'd love nothing more than to get the skipper out there! He'll be the guest of honor. And good idea about the Cones...I need to get the word out to the local bases!

Very good. May I ask where, as I've been contacted by the Hampton Inn manager about getting us a group rate.

Thanks, Sluggo

Ok. I'll talk to the manager tomorrow and get a group rate setup. Might not beat AAA, though.

UPDATE

The Hampton Inn has offered a group rate that is pretty darn good: King or Queen rooms, $69/night; King suite for $79/night. In a few days they will send me a link that will access reservations with this special rate. So wait for the link and use it to book.

For general info, here is the Hampton Navarre website (again, wait for the Pensacola Jets link to book): http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hot...VHX/index.html
