If you guys get a chance check out the flight sims at NAS! Very, very cool for those of us who don't have a pilots license. You actually 'ride' in the sim. If you're flying upside down then you're physically upside down etc. I was having a blast doing 4 points, inverted flight, loops etc! They have a f18 ride and a ww2 combat although both sims were running the f18 ride yesterday. Fun!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!
I have heard back from the Navy, and after a month of whining and begging on my part, they have given me Friday the 9th back! So, the event is back on for November 9-11, with bonus flying on the 12th if you can stay longer.
Right now I am locked out of editing my first post in this thread, as well as the title of the thread, to reflect this info.

Gents,
While I did get Friday reinstated, I lost - again - on overnight camping/RV-ing.
Flying hours are 0800-1700, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 9-11 Nov. Trailers may remain on-site, humans may not. We must vacate by dark. I can explain more in person at the event.

Greetings from Holley Flyers, I have been asked by my good friend Randy, to let everyone know that the ad in the AMA mag. is wrong.... THERE will be NO on LANDING fee's this year... bring your jet's and enjoy flying on 3500' of asphalt, I can even get down on our runways... Hope to see all of you guy and gals, in NOV...please remeber this is a Navy field and we do have to live by the rules, so bring your food and drinks and your pop-up's.
As most of you know that have been to the Pensacola jets events, what a great place to fly jets, we are working very hard with the Navy to get the event back up and working at full speed....we lost the event a few years back and with new people at the Navy that we have to deal with, it is taking time to show the people in high command that we can be safe and have a top of the line event, with the support from the out of town flyers showing up, will be a big help...SO COME ON DOWN, he hope to see all of our friends and new flyers that have supported us in the past.
NOVEMBER, 9-12 NO LANDING FEE'S.........lets fly some jet's

No, just counting down the days.
The dates are still Friday-Sunday, 9-11 Nov. Flying is from 0800-1700. Veteran's Day, Monday 12 Nov, is a club flying day and will be open to any Pensacola Jets participants who'd like to fly a bit more. There is no entry fee at all, just come and fly. Bring your own pop-up. Unfortunately, no overnight RV's or campers are permitted on-site. Trailers may remain overnight. Whiting Field security usually makes a patrol at Holley a couple of times during the night.
I think the cut-off date for the Pensacola Jets group rate at the Hampton Inn is today, 1 Nov. There is also a new RV park right in the middle of Navarre, near the bridge to Navarre Beach.

I might not make this one, getting that time of year when everyone and everything tries to take your money (dang holidays). I could buy more SBus servos for the F-14 with the hotel money
I might just come down for a day since its not to far.

Pete, you guys have a great time. I was going to come and when they cancelled the Friday date a while back my vacation plans changed and I couldn't change them back to be there. Steve got the big block in the F-4 so watch out for him for me. Lol. See you at Toledo this year, and at the FIF event to kick off my year. Going to Florida on Saturday to stay a week with Nick Ziroli at his place in Sarasota.
