Default Greater Southwest Jet Rally

A big thanks to the HOTMAC club, Todd Blose, and the rest of the Texas Brotha's that put together the 21st annual GSW. The Mississippi Gang had a great time and burned 75 gallons of fuel. (And another 3 gallons in my truck getting home!) The weather was perfect and the hospitality was second to none.

What's amazing to me about this event, is that even though the HOTMAC club has no jet members, they are bending over backwards to give the Jet community an excellant place to fly jets. And they let the jet guys use it just about whenever they want. My hat's off to them.
There was a lot of good flying going on. Paul Lott, David Reid, Tom Dodgen, Steve Ellzey and many others were really putting on a good show.

And I know some of you guys won't believe this, but I found DavidR to be a nice guy.

Another great jet fly at HOTMAC. The field keeps getting better every time I go down there. I think Todd needs to quit that prop hanging stuff, and get a jet! Thanks to Bob Price for tweaking my starter motor and getting me back in the air on Saturday.

And after watching David's F-4, and Tom's F-16, I want one of each. thanks, guys...

Adding my thanks to the list! Todd did a heliva job. Tom Perry gets the "giddy as a school girl" award with his avond's f-16. I don't think he wanted to leave. And a special thanks to Dennis for making sure us df guys felt completely beaten down.

I'll add my 2 cents. Great event and fabulous turnout. Congrats to Tod, Max, and the whole Hotmac group for putting on a great event. It was great to see all the friendly faces again and to see Gus back in the game.

I'm affraid I got the "Hanger Queen" award with that fussy engine of mine. It is already out of the plane and on it's way back for repair. Hope to see you all soon.

Regards,
Greg

Hey Greg!

I won that Hanger Queen award with my F-18. At least your Vigilante flew. That's OK though, We'll burn up a bunch of fuel next time.

Steven and I also had a great time.

HOTMAC has done many great things at their field to make it a great Jet field.
Our thanks go out to Todd and the rest of the HOTMAC group for a great weekend

One other award winner was Sam with his Swallow

Dennis,

Thanks for the above comment.

When you figure out how to post attachments, let me know. Tried three times and nothing was attached.

Great seeing all of the MS gang.

This was my first jet rally to participate in and I must admit, once I got the bugs worked out (of me) my F-15 flew well. Im looking forward to the next meet.

I just wanted to let everyone know how much I enjoyed seeing them this past weekend. I've really missed being around all of you. Thanks to Todd and the HOTMAC Club for all of their work. Great job. Thanks to Bob Covish and Tom Dodgen for helping me get back in the air, I really haven't flown on a consistant basis in about four years. Man was I nervous. Keep your airspeed up and I hope to see you all soon.

Default HOTMAC website

I have searched and found only this link for the HOTMAC RC Club.

http://www12.brinkster.com/hotmac/front%20page.htm

Does anyone know if there is a diffrent site for the HOTMAC club?
