Looks like the rain stopped here.
I have to get the kids off to school, and I'll load up to leave. (I need some time away from the crazyness)

It was a great time. As always, everyone was friendly, and willing to help people in need. Friday was a little cold... but Sat was great. The sun was out... and the wind wasn't too bad. There was several models with landing gear issues... but there was only one fatality. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but the Phantom in the last pic had a bad takeoff, and wound up in the grass.
Here's some of the pics I took.

I almost forgot.....
I have to give a huge "Thank You" to Jim Hiller for helping me out with my little CMP T-45. I'm a good pilot, and have been in the hobby for 30 years... but I've heard so may horror stories about the tip tendency of the T-45's... I figured I would let a "PRO" do the maiden on this little guy.
Anyone at the event, knows that I was stupid enough to shove Wren 44 gold into a little CMP airframe. This T-45 was the cheap kit from NitroPlanes, and was designed to fly on a 90mm fan. But... with Jim at the controls... we got all the bugs worked out... and it turned into a very nice "park-flyer" turbine. (for a lack of better terms) Unfortunately... we didn't get any video or pics of the maiden.
The maiden was very uneventfull, and the only thing to watch for is to land it with a little power. But, once the power is cut... it slows quick.
Oh... and even with the Wren turned down to 8 Lbs of thrust... it came off the ground between the cracks of the taxiway. (about 80'~100') Then... after the maiden... I asked if we needed to turn the turbine back up to full power... Jim's response was... "Does it need to come off the ground faster??" (I took that as NO )
