JETPOWER 2012 products WOW !

RE: JETPOWER 2012 products WOW !
Vasa model showed a more resonable 14blade 110mm EDF, a development or evolution from their 120mm version said to provide a bit more thrust/power then the 120mm one at the same input power.
http://www.vasamodel.cz/
I only found video of the 120mm version, this plane was later refitted with the new 110mm for Jetpower and sold at the event if I got it right :-)

Gotta love the orange one
Looking forward to starting on mine, just as soon as I get back from Spain next week. I am betting it will be a quick build.

Do you think it will take a Wren 44?

Nope. Afraid not without a chunk of modifying. The P-20 is a really snug fit as it is. The 44 is much more of a lump to squeeze into the moulded back end.

Hand made, looked like titanium. This is from the same group that made the stunning Mig 23 last year, so even these simple L29 legs were superb. I cant wait to see the double wheel system for the SU34, They showed the prototype and that was amazing enough even in plastic.

Check this bad boy out! up to 240 N of thrust on 14-16S 16 amp!!!! Price predicted to be around the 3000 euro mark for fan, motor and controller [&:] I am liking my larger EDF's, but I feel this may just be a step too far! Like all Schubi products, it is a piece of art almost too nice to put in a plane!

I think you need more thrust with an EDF that what it claims to produce.
A gas turbine is still far superior when flying in a model to an EDF of the same thrust, so I don't think you can be over the top with a setup like this if you really want an EDF.

I think the EDF unit in the pictures is the 120mm version, at least in my pic it says so!

Yeah, they look very close, the 110mm was fitted in the EF2000 in the stand :-)

JetCat P400-RX-(G)
Sadly I was not able to attend JP2012 so could not ask myself. Does any body have any idea of the availability and price of the JetCat P400-RX -(G)
Thanks

I'm curious as to why you guys think the DS-215 is a ''step too far''? With the amount of thrust it puts out, wouldn't it be an alternative source of power for large airframes like the Tomahawk L-39, CARF/Skygate L-39 and the 1/5.5 and 1/4 scale F-16s?

But I was just considering my experience that does not go beyond 6S1P 5000 mAh in a Habu 32 and was thinking of the 400 Amp OPTO regulator (the cables are thicker than those of my car!) and trying to imagine how big and heavy could the 14S 16000 mAh battery pack be..!
And then again (personal opinion) a jet must have that burnt kero aroma around!
In any case I love the big edfs I see in the meetings!

I was told today by Jet Cat that 90 RXi's are due at the end of this year.
All other new turbines middle of next year.
