I will definitely be there this year We are planning on setting up a demo / instructional booth for jet newcomers as well as interested spectators. On Friday and Saturday I will be going over jet basics with anyone interested, demonstrating some of the basics that maybe some of us jet veterans take for granted, but that may be completely new to other RC pilots .. I am planning on these mini seminars around every 3 hours, and going over actual jet installs and set ups.
We will be covering things like
- turbine operations, plumbing, electrical/radio wiring and hookup.
- Landing gear basics ... pneumatic function, valves, brakes, gear doors , etc
- servo / surface installation, flutter avoidance, etc
- batteries, power buses, etc
- fuel tanks and fuel systems .. air separation, filters, tubing , connectors, parallel/series connections.
- basics of working with composites.
- fueling, charging, maintenance operations.
if anyone has any other suggestions or requests, please let me know

as for Alan, his building has greatly improved and holds up through the 200mph mark .. the secret is not using cream cheese. He uses Kraft brand Velveta melt cheese dispensed through an aeropoxy glue gun ..

The new formula has been tested up to 300 mph with great success.

Erik and Alan, to answer your question Adil did forget how to fly, I was able to get him on the buddy box with a bobcat and look how relaxed he is now. All I had to do was reward him with a banana. While it is miricale of god that Eriks planes lasted all season because we all know Alan uses that cheap goverment cheese epoxy, Adil should keep his mouth shut because his plane was built with Elmers glue.

I agree. It should be a lot of fun to get together again.. One word of advice though.. don't stand next to Wojy... it makes your 4 foot height even more pronounced..

Mario, I was there today , flew my very heavy F 16 with the P200 , no problems at all the field is smooth. Your F-15 wont have any problems at all. I know a few guys are going out on Saturday to fly jets there.

Hi all,
I was out flying today. Maidened my new Dragon and burned up 4+ gallons of kero. Thank you Kevin (ezpilot1) for the help! Plus 3 Habu 32 flights! The field has never been better! Perfectly smooth, no corn. Perfect weather for flying jets.
My plan is to be out next Saturday and Sunday to warm up for the Rally! If anyone who is not a member wants to get log some flights just send me a PM!

Jim,
Nice going on the Dragon. When I was out the Wednesday I noticed how nice and smooth the field is now and how much I dont miss the corn!! Should be a great event I know we are all looking forward too it. We are planning on doing a spaghetti dinner at our trailer again like we did in August, there will be plenty if anyone wants to stop by. I already got extra meatballs coming for Erik[X(]

Thanks Don, Berk and Reggie!
Not wanting to jinx it but the long range weather is looking like mid 70's and sunny! With Dreamworks coming and all the new guys we're hearing from and the field being in it's best ever condition, well, all I can say is that this is going to be our best year ever!
Counting the days!
