Default ultra bandit - engine install kit details needed

I have recently purchased a semi built ultra bandit. It came with the P200 engine install kit. However, I am going to use an Olympus HP engine in this airplane. I have been advised to use the olympus bypass kit as its larger than the one I have. Can someone tell me the difference in size of the SS thrust tube and the carbon bypass in the two bypass kits? What else is different, the straps? Before I fork out 575 dollars I would like to just have the size differential between the two engine install kits.
thanks in advance

Have you asked the manufacturer?

Ragz,

Getting the info from BV is probably the best way. The two installs are very similar. I used an Olympus, just like you but without having a P-200 install side-by-side, I couldn't tell you the difference. I would be very surprised if the pipe is different and in fact, the size of the mounting straps is probably the only difference.

I will tell you that the by-pass fit is tight and you will need to trim well beyond the scribe lines (which leads me to believe it is the same bypass as the P-200) but I can't say that for a fact.

The bypass and pipe are the same. I don't remember the straps or aluminum mounts. I can get back to you on Monday.

Thanks for the images Craig.  Appreciate it. Sure looks tight in that bypass? Is there enough room for air flow over the engine?

Thanks Dustin. Harley condra chimed in and he has confirmed that the set I have is indeed the correct one for the Olympus.

Ragz,

It's tight but the airflow is fine. In fact, this is a great airframe/engine combo. Ultra reliability with nearly unlimited vertical. Using EagleTree telemetry, I have had my UB to nearly 3000 feet and climbing and only pulled it over the top because I was loosing sight of it.

3000 feet!!!!  Wow that's insane. Glad I chose this combo. Have seen David shulman fly the heck out of it at last jet power.
