RE: Making an Ultra Flash into an F-20UF
Hi Philipe:
Really enjoy your paint build jobs you post here.
Awesome work you do.!!!!!
I´n not an expert painter as you but for the moment experimenting in painting my own models.
Very thankfull for sharing your experience.
How do you cut your stencil? By hand or plotter cutting machine.
Whate meterial are you using for stencils? Some glues of material react with paint making a mess
I see you use blue tesa masking tape, why not the green one which is suposed to be for automotive paints jobs?
When you mask with the blue masking tape do you cut free hand on the model or cut before in table and then apply tape to model?
Your painting booth seem really clean as the walls looks white. How do you manage the over spray?
Thanks
Juan

(I have my own vinyl cutting machine, I design the artwork in Autocad then convert it to dxf and cut it on the vinyl cutter)
Whate meterial are you using for stencils? Some glues of material react with paint making a mess
(it's standard paint masking film from my supplier, yes sometimes it leave a residue but I clean it off with white spirit)
I see you use blue tesa masking tape, why not the green one which is suposed to be for automotive paints jobs?
(The blue tape is waterproof, I can't get the green tape yet, my supplier is looking to getting some)
When you mask with the blue masking tape do you cut free hand on the model or cut before in table and then apply tape to model?
(I cut the blue tape on the model, I apply the tape then rest the blade on the tape then pull the roll against the tape that cuts it, always use a new blade)
Your painting booth seem really clean as the walls looks white. How do you manage the over spray?
(I clean the paint shop on a weekly basis, good housekeeping)
Thanks
Juan

I will say it again, your work is OUTSTANDING. You have taken one of, if not THE most popular sport jet model and given it a whole new life. You have shown the world that with a little effort you can have a very unique model. I am very impressed with your artistic vision and if I lived in the UK I would be all over you for a custom UF of my own!
Congrats on raising the bar once again!

Hi guys, thank you for your kind words. The suggestion to do this scheme is down to Ali,after Steve gave up on trying to decide which scheme to do and handed over to me to choose I asked Ali who suggested the scheme, good choice.
I am looking forward to the next F-20UF aggressor scheme, I would like todo either an Arctic or Russian digital scheme.
