Default houston jetoberfest

this will be the first jet rally at bomberfield in quite some time. the field has been taken over by an ama club. bb weber, the gentleman who ran the field for a long time has taken a step back so he can slow down and enjoy his golden years. the club has many jet modelors and we would love to create a nice fall event in the houston area. our runway is 800 feet long and is asphalt. we have plenty of covered pits all with electricity. thanks to bucky at rc hobbies in sugerland for creating a flier for us. come join in the fun and burn some jet a with us. the event date is saturday october 20th. open flying on the 19th. barry

I'll def be there with a few jets, even though I'll be technically "working"...I'm glad the Houston area is finally putting together a jet rally. Hopefully in the future this can become a multiple day event.

Scott, nothing stopping you from going to Houston except for the fact that your planes will be at Buttonwillow.

glad to see some out of towners coming. we have a nice little restaurant very close to the field. after a good day of flying, would you guys like to break some bread together? bob brubaker put this event together. i am helping out due to his mom falling and breaking a hip.

the event is a one day event this year, but we will have open flying on friday too. next year, hopefully we will do a two day event with more open flying. however, with bobs family health issues, we felt a one day was more manageable.

again thanks everyone. see you in a couple of weeks. barry

That's the lamest excuse I've ever heard. Your wife doesn't need you there just to have a baby.
Actually, congratulations!!

I'm sure Papo's trailer would make a nice delivery room!! Do I get to drive Barry's ride while they go at it?

Danno, yes open flying Friday and Sunday. This will become a yearly event too. Also, you can camp at the field. We have hook ups too. Slightly limited and $20 dollars a night to cover electrical cost.

Bobo, if takes driving the car to get you there? Consider it done! Just have to check your insurance.

David, I'm sure doc and i can take care of that baby thing. See you there.

Hotels? I will post that info shortly. Barry
