James,

I believe it's a T-11...if so, there are loads of schemes available - do a Google Image search. However, there's only ever been one or maybe two decent schemes for T-11s and that's silver with either dayglo or yellow bands and trim. I have included a picture of a camouflaged one below and if you are interested, I have a whole load of detail shots of this aeroplane.

Cheers,

Dick

Thanks a lot for photos.

Any idea where to buy decal sheets for those color schemes?

I got some decals from a good friend in UK, but would appreciate more if possible.

Thanks
James

James,

Ralle at Tailormade is the best source for decals.

Re the detail shots I have...they are giving scale detail rather than detail of the camoflage (which is standard RAF scheme of the 1950s and available off the web). Happy to send you a CD with the detail pictures James...email me your address and I will put them in the post (there are many shots...too many for email).

Rgds,

Dick

The T-11 has a big canopy showing a cockpit that will need to be filled - which may not be the easiest of tasks given everything that's in there! ...

Hi Dick, Would love to know who's plastic kit that is of XD452 flew it several times when it was with 8 FTS at Swinderby, got to have one ! (although the Dayglo was very faded then !)

Filling the cockpit of a T11 is easy, just do what DH did, assemble everything on the hangar floor, then chuck it into the cockpit space ! At least that's what it seemed like, the T11 has got to have had the worst cockpit layout of ANY jet, an ergonomic slum !

Regards,

David.

Yeah, looking at that T-11 cockpit it must have been a nightmare in an emergency.

Hi David,

No need to get a plastic XD 452...the cockpit of the real one still exists. Have a look at...

http://www.demobbed.org.uk/images.php?s=d&type=1143

...and you'll find her! I put a picture of her below...oh, and a picture of XJ 771 at Kemble with some vagrant I pulled from the crowd to add perspective!

Cheers,

Dick

Vagrant being the operative word there Dick, however, he has the right attitude to electric jets !
