    Demorun of the jet engine at KULeuven

    Yesterday I had the pleasure of filming a demorun of the full scale jet engine at the Thermotechnical Institute of the University of Leuven (Belgium). Rather impressive to see the power from closeby. I'll take it any day to blow away the leafs in my front yard :-)
    At the end they drop a brick into the exhaust stream...

    It's a Rolls Royce engine, produced in Belgium for the Gloster Meteor.
    15kN thrust (1.5 metric tonnes)
    5000 HP @ 14.500RPM
