Hawker Hunter Kit anyone knows???
During the last Jet Power show, there was a UK company (i believe) who was offering a Hawker Hunter kit (plans and wood kit) which was in a stage of preparation . Although i have filled a form and expected to receive news from them when kit will be out, i have never heard back from them.
Problem is that i lost the name of this company.I would appreciate if anyone could help in this respect.
Thanks, Regards

It was mentioned in the October/November issue of RCJI from Traplet, it also said to see issue 114, other than that I do not no anything else.

That is the new wood pack and plan from Traplet publications who publish quite a few model mags including RCJI. It was designed by Shane Harding and should be available very soon if not already. I have attached a video of the test flight which i took in December last year.

I think it's 1/6 scale, like the MRM version, no?

If your looking for a Hunter you might be interested in this. I have no first hand knowledge of it except for seeing it at the Toledo show

RE: Hawker Hunter Kit anyone knows???
At last!!!!
I am very interesting in purchase the HH plans from Traplet to convert it for a P-120 that is resting in his box[] , but in the page 78 of the issue 115 (August/September 2012) of RCJI there is a side wiew plan of the HH and I am a litlle disappointed with the wing airfoil. According to this plan the airfoil is not the same as the MR one.
Anyone knows anything about the wing airfoils?
BTW in the Trapet advertisment is not listed the clear canopy. Where to purchase it?

P120 is WAY to big for this, it is a lightly built model as it was designed for EDF. P60/70, VT80. Merlin 100, Super sport, MW54 are ideal motors for this. It is a similar size to the MR one bur nearly half the weight. The canopy you can buy direct from Mick Reeves.

Jesus,
Airfoils can be changed especially the indicated one since it is at the root. Then you can use airfoil programs to change/blend airfoil root to tip and add any washout in the process, if required. Alternatively a cad program may also be used to extract the wing ribs. The latter is a longer process but you will get there just as well. This airfoil option is not a problem.

Jamie, then you would suggest to enlarge the plans at 1:5 scale for a P-120?
F86_SABRE, the most difficult part is to get the special airfoil at the saw tooth and the tip airfoil. The root airfoil doesn't worried me. Of course I intend to pass the plans at a CAD program.
Thank you.

Jesus just make a standard planform and then extend the same airfoil were the saw tooth is. Should pose no problem. If the plane is being turbinised I think you will have to beef it up..... just my gut feeling!

Matt although I have not seen the full size plan as yet but saw the video clip, it looks like the plane may need some minor cosmetic surgery at the rear end. No big deal.
