I got that pilot from Fighter Aces. I dont think they are any longer available as I tried to order another one right after I got it. Pilot is 1:4 scale. Wilson at Tailored Pilots makes a mig pilot for this plane that fits exactly well in the cockpit.

Hi guys,

I have almost 50 flights with my Mig-15, and really enjoy it

Some pictures taken by Uwe Puchtinger while I flew at Fyresdal Jetpower 2017 in June.

Does anyone have the link to Phil Noel's video or the addendum to the flap mod for the mig? I can't recall if you take material away from the flap pocket in the wing, or the trailing edge of the flap itself?

Mine is getting ready for paint :-)

Hi, I am flying mine without any issues. I removed some of the rear part of the flap and the rear of the flap pocket in the wing as well. Just to make sure that there was a good clearance when the flap moves backwards and downwards. Also I changed the profile so that there is chance of binding when the flap is being deployed.

Hey Kim, how did you secure the sliding canopy? I don't want to trust just the latch on the left side. I've been making good progress on mine. All the latches are hidden. Getting it ready for paint.

I was a bit reluctant to rely om only the left latch as well, but after a small mod, it has proven worthy

In the photo, you can barely see a small screw extending the pin in the sliding mechanism.

Hmmmm. Thats the right side, I only have the lock on the left. Is yours on both sides? both sides I would be OK, mine is only latching on the left. Need to figuring out a better way

It will lock fine from only one side. But I also added magnets to mine as well to make sure it stayed closed.

Little progress. Reinforced the front wing tube. having that spar floating between ribs made me nervous.

This MIG model has 33 flights. János built the JET engine on his own, which is 170N.

Great pics! Thanks for the motivation.... I've been working on the speed brakes all morning. Mine's getting close.

Posting to keep this thread on the first page... ;-) I made the wing tip light lenses with stuff from my office. Love that my profession has some cross-over to modeling LOL
