Well the wait of a year and a few months is finally over its here. Well almost. Got the call today from the shipping company that the mig is in Atlanta. They told me it would be Monday or Tuesday before I would see it. I told them no way, I would not have it sitting in a warehouse all weekend long risking any more damage to it. So I am on my way to Atlanta in about 10 mins.I will be back with pics this evening.

Well lets see were do I start. Holy S#!t WOW. When I first opened the crate (even though I had seen the pics) I was surprised to see how very very well packed it was. Everthing inside was well secured and padded. All the parts are individually wrapped. Once I got everything unwrapped and had a chance to really see what is here; this has got to be one of the best kits I have ever seen. It is one of the most completely supplied kits I have ever gotten as well. Firstly I have to say Agoston has done one outstanding job designing and crafting this kit. The level of detail is incredibly well done. Several of the parts are prepainted and or fabricated together such as the gear doors and speed brake inner parts. The cockpit is truly a work of art down to the threaded adjustments on the head rest. The kit comes with air line and fuel tubing. The fuel tanks are pre built and installed. He also supplies you with a full set of metric hex keys. Along with all the nuts and bolts you would expect are also festo fittings and a set of multi plex plugs. The landing gear is heavy and beefy just as you would expect on a Soviet designed aircraft. I cant really see anything negative to say on the kit other than I wish it was already built.

Congrats , George - looking good! Thanks God for giving the forklifts to another box
Good to hear you was positivly suprised - just like I was when I first saw this beautiful model in live. Agoston has really put a ton of effort and skills into this one, details and quality has got a new level in this hobby.
Really looking forward to follow your building and I will certainly pic up some advice based on your experience.
My model is out of the molds one of this days and Agoston will start the assembling next week. I'm really looking forward to receive this model, even the long waiting, since it's worth every sec!
Good luck with the building and keep on posting

I am not sure as to the current wait time. Maybe Agoston can chime in on here to that.
I am going to get my bench cleared tomorrow and lay all the parts out. I will snap some pics and post them up. After that I am going to start up a new thread for the build. I still need to find a paint scheme (I have only had a year to look at them). As I am still undecided as to what I want. I know it will be a metal finish of some sort.

This is an awesome project for you! Man I love the size of that jet. You said you were going to the qualifier this year for JWM? You think that big guy will make weight? How do the outlines look verses scale?

Hey been sick with a sinus headache. I've done nothing on my bird at all. I am still waiting on Agoston to get me the CD instruction manual. He sent me some shots to get started but I haven't done anything.
I am still looking at paint schemes as well. I'm leaning towards the Cuban scheme right now but have not made up my mind yet.

Worth the wait - I've never seen anything like it.
It was almost a shame to unpack everything... even the packaging is a bloody work of art!
The build is as good on the inside as on the out - should be a lot of fun.
