I am thinking of doing one of the Cuban birds but I can't find anything other than one or two pics of them. Plus I dont have any other info of what else is on the plane.

The one in Pensacola is great, however it is 40ft up in the air. I had the same idea. When I was there looking at another bird I wanted to get some pics of it to. There is not a way really to get good close ups of the other side of the plane nor can you get good close ups of the planes nomenclature. I tried to find out what they had as far a pics and docs when they were restoring the plane but I got no where with that.

Hello, The drawing as much as many as I saw that they were all different. This is probably the best what I find. A lot of things are not made according to the drawing, than on the basis of the real MIG and my personal measurements and pics.

I have seen this plane fly with an F-86 at the Planes of Fame airshow a couple of years ago (amazing demo BTW).
There is a group of hobbyists that travel the country ( and I am sure the world) photographing the planes at these airshows. I was in a seating section up front surrounded by these guys and got a chance to speak with them at length (I think the average guy was carrying $5-15K worth of equipment). They told me that this show was one of the best in the world for vintage (esp WWII) military aircraft.
Anyway, if you can somehow track these guys down (I am sure they hang out in forums somewhere) you can get all angle shots of this exact plane. I know at the world champion ship level you need top and bottom views of the exact plane, these guys get those shots. They store a stunning amount pictures, and they are are all plane nuts (obviously) with a lot of crossover in RC. If you can just track them down. I have no idea where they hang out online.
Regards,

This mig is at the museum of flight in seattle. I'm a member there, got permission from the curator to have a photo session. George wanted me to look into it. It would break my heart to climb all over this plane and take pics for one of you. I'm on the list for the mig, but want a scheme with more red in it, and I don't care about accuracy…not a competitor.

Yes here are some shots from 2012. I THINK that is the year I was there. It was the last time Jason flew the Zero, were you there Gregg? I saw a lot of VF guys there.

The "Guide to over 900 Aircraft museums" 26th edition by Michael Blaugher
email: [email protected] (260-744-1020)
List 28 Diffeant Mig-15'S in the USA. One listed in Birmingham AL at the
Southern Museum of Flight 4343 73rd St N.35206 (208-833-8226).
I'll bet if U called any one of the Museums Listed in the afor mentioned book
They might find some one who (maybe for a donation to the museum) would
take some Pics and Email them to U. Start with 1 or 2 pics and if the paint Scheme
might be some thing U like U might just peruse it further.
The USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson has one and they have a Virtual Tour @
http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/virtualtour/ . Hope this helps, Good luck in your Hunt.

I helped Jon with the install of the Moki. He took it to a scale meet and everyone loved it.
I hit the museum I told you about in Oregon last month. Got to take pics of the FW190, corsair, ME262 and P-38. They gave me free reign on them, too much fun. Got to have lunch with the curator and hear about acquisitions and the restorations, airplane heaven. They have a Mig-17 there. Sorry to sidetrack back to Mig talk…..

Hey guys, Whoever is building this kit let's start posting build pics to help Agoston develop a proper set of build pictures. this is the only thing this kit needs.
I can't wait to see what Agoston comes up with next. I'm buying whatever it is!!!!!!!!
Maybe he should do a twin seat conversion for this kit!!!! Or maybe do a Mig 17!!!
