I trying to lose more weight in the nose. The cockpit and pilot provide plenty of wieght up front.
Thanks Jeff.

Thank you Jeff. Mine is exactly coming out the same as yours. So, I should be okay. One more question, how far is the inside white frame from the from corner of the removable cockpit and what did you use to glue it in place ? It looks great. I only have this part and the main landing gear covers to do before I re-assemble it and be done.

Thank you again, Behzad

Default Hamburg

I have been enjoying my Hawk. I flew at Ga Jets south all 3 days. I really loving the cortex gyro. All 3 days it was blowing pretty good. It makes you look good with even realizing it. burned about 15 gallons.

I just got back from Hamburg Pa Farview Flyers event. Flew on Satruday only. Weather was ruff but I manage to get 4 flights in.

A friend took some awsome pictures at Hamburg of the Hawk in the air. Here are a few of them.

Nice work, I checked out Jeff"s restrictor plates at Hamburg this weekend and there simple and effective. His Hawk flies awesome. I will be doing the same to mine.

Looking good!

Wait till you see Don's cockpit in person.. It's bad to the bone. I wish the weather would have been better I would have loved to seen it fly. I understand he only had one flight on it so far. I am sure I will get to see it fly and I am sure he will be in love with it when he gets it trimmed out and the nerves settle down.

Some help with Naca Ducts, I received 6 naca ducts with my kit, I have located 5 , 1 in the nose, 2 in the belly behind landing gear, and 2 are just in front of the rudder. I have one left and its the biggest of the set, and can not locate where it goes. Any one know the correct placement?????

Thanks

J.C.

RAF Hawks (Mk 1s) have only 5 intakes, so far as I can see, location as JCA describes.

Aces has the MDC in the front cockpit the wrong way round, wide cord distribution at the front, the Reds do not have HUDs (no need, no weapons, and they just get in the way when flying formation aeros) but they do always have a centerline tank !

Lavi, I brought the photos for you at JP, didn't see you there !

However, if you put "Hawk 237" on YouTube you will see my pictures there. (don't know how they got there !)

My Hawk is nearly done, full ducting, big tank, Olympus going in this weekend, has the new fin colours, (and centerline smoke tank) looks great !

The smoke tank was done by skygate only . The molds no longer exist .

I was at JP from Thursday on up to Sunday afternoon .... Waited for you at the airworld booth at 12 noon on Friday as I wrote to you before the event .
Any way would love if you could mail me the CD please.

I think David Gladwin has a set of plans for a smoke pod. Seems I remember seeing his post somewhere on this thread.

Did anybody modify the canopy latch system? It seems a little weak with the cable exiting the vent hole.
If so please explain. Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike, it works good. Just secure the guide line in place so it is solid and does not flop around and it will be fine.

Thanks Behzad. I was hoping so. I have the hatch kit but I didn't want to install it if I could get by without it. Mike

Have you done the cockpit? I have made everything screw together and easily come apart as Marc had done. But the last piece is how to hold the seats in place. Have you done that?

No I haven't. Going to do as Marc did as well. Thinking about putting tabs under the seat so I can screw them in place. Just a thought. Mike

Hi guys,
So my Saudi Hawk is ready to Test Fly. A couple of questions, and these may have already been discussed in this forum.
1. What is the actual elevator trim required with flap at takeoff and landing. The manual says 'Up' elevator trim. But I am sure that is wrong. It should be down trim - but how much...in mm?
2. Are the throws in the manual correct or too much/not enough?

Also, what are you guys doing to prevent the wing fences getting damaged!!!!...that is the one thing I really gonna hate about the hawk...
