Default Need a Tornado V3 Canopy

Hi All,

I have a Modellbau Tornado V3 and the canopy and tub that is supplied with the kit DOES NOT fit! Are there any aftermarket suppliers out there that have made a canopy and tub that does fit? I have tried emailing Ray with no response, are there any others?

Thanks in Advance

Jetfan, I had the same problem. I ordered a new canopy and tub from Ray. His new email address is below.

Good luck with your build. I'm building the red and white scheme now. How far along on the build are you?

I have the Red and white as well. I have to workout the cockpit issue, install the wing servos, turbine (K100G) and cg and she is ready. How about you?

I still have a lot left to complete. Working on canopy setup now. All servos installed but no pushrods yet. I'm using the Dreamworks retracts so that requires some extra work to fit. I still need to install my turbine and all the related components. I'm using the Jetsmunt VT80. This kit requires a LOT of work to get flight ready by my personel standard.

You are right about that, this is not a ARF. I have built big ARF's before that took less work. Formers and getting the booms to sit right was also a problem. The canopy and tub doesn't even appear to be close to fitting properly, that really sucks!

I could tell you my true opinion in an email that won't draw criticism. Lets just say this is my first and last modellbau jet.

You guys will probably change your mind after you fly it....yes it requires some effort to build but after its done and you consider your total investment and the fantastic flight characteristics you will forget about the building hassle.
