RE: BYRON AVIATION EXPO 1987!!!
I used to always drool over the Byron ads in the 80's as a kid wondering if I'd ever have the resources to have something like a Byron.
On a humorous note, I had truly forgot how absurdly huge the ball caps were back then and how everyone had lumps of bushy hair bulging out of the bottom of those hats. And what was with the kid at 3:50 on the first video? Seemed like he was doing a Foghorn Leghorn impersonation. Those videos really brought back a lot of suppressed style memories! But more importantly they brought back good memories of the promise and attainability for the future of model aviation. We have come very far in many ways but fallen behind in others. Really neat time capsule videos, thanks for sharing!

I was there in 1987, what a show!! Thanks for the memories!!
That catalog page of the F-16 really brings it back. I was only in 8th grade, so I couldn't afford it, but I remember looking through those catalogs over and over again, dreaming about getting one and how I'd detail it. If I remember right, you could order a detailed information package in the mail with reduced sized plans and the instruction book. I stayed up late many nights pouring over those. I think I may still have a few in a box up in the attic.
Good times, thanks!
