Byron show
My dear friends,
I came all the way from greece twice (1986,1988)to wacht the unique aviation expo show.I baught my first byron f16,which I still have, and fly,in 1986,and baught their new f18 in 1988.Both are still flying great.I am thinking about converting them to electric, because the inverted os 91df,spits a lot of oil.I am still wondering how my wife did not divorce me,after sitting 8 days with her book, surrounded by models, flying all day long!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks god we had a good time, beautiful memories.
Keep on modeling, and always happy landings.Regards,
Aris1

Sorry if this has already been posted. Here is Byron Godbersen's story, the man behind Midwest Industries (Not Midwest Products ie Balsa), Byron Originals and of course these really cool aviation shows of the 80's:

I like this compilation of articles by the AMA as well. I like the local article from page 5-9 especially.

Wow, I just saw my RC hero from the 80's. "Mr. Byron Jets" Carl Spurlock. Remember him at Jets over Deland. He had 7 or 8 Byron jets there. Anyone know if he's still around?
Great Memories!
