Default New turbine from China

Hi all,

Today I've got the some information of New turbines from chinese manufacturer.
The turbine call NT Turbine but I don't have any information of the manufacturer yet.
Rumor has it that they acquired some German RC turbine manufacturer, maybe Funsonic I think[8D]
Their lineup of turbine are 20N to 170N and turboprop now.

The Japanese RC jet pilot

Ohhhh as all the JetCat P20's are sold out before they even reach the stores I should imagine this will be of interest, especially if they are a resonable cost, keep us informed??

This is the same engine range that was shown at JetPower 2009 on the Funsonic stand.

No reason to prejudge. Lets just observe. We don't have enough info to draw any conclusions yet.

Hi,

There's PREjudge, and then there's JUDGE. I think, unfortunate though it is, that there are at least a few inferences we can draw from the limited information available. One is that it'll most likely have inferior metallurgy. The other is that they'll most likely disavow any responsibility for it whatsoever when it fails. I don't mean to tick anyone off, but if this website is anything, it's VOLUMES of evidence to my statement...

Hi All

More info about this turbine and manufacturer

The Luminar is only the distributor of NT turbine in Japan area and they'll start to import the NT70 on July.

The ECU unit and software of NT turbine is completely their own design, Brushless starter moter and Kero start system.
And most important info is the mainly components of parts are supplied by Fun sonic[X(]

The inf of this turbine manufacturer, they located in Guangzhou or near area in China .
They already to take charge of OEM production of Moter ,Contorollers for RC plane, and number of employers are over 100, but unknown their company name yet[&o]
The pohto below is their one of production line.

Any way I'm Merlin user, and it's unnecessary made in China excluding clothes and ARF

Can't wait to see the bashing of this engine materialize just like it did with Jet Joe. If it's not approved by the few it is automatically proclaimed junk.

I for one wont bash it. Actually hope it comes through as a good low cost alternative, which at present time we dont have. The most critical aspect is for them to have good customer service, ideally through domestic dealers and service centers. Im not sending an engine overseas for service. Period.

Hi,

I sorta see where you're coming from, but then I just finished reading the entire Jet Joe Owner's Thread a few days ago. I'm sorry, but it was all I could do not to post something like, "Why are you guys screwing with these things?? Why are you spending hours and hours trying to trouble-shoot these things??" So, when you say "...just like it did with Jet Joe...", I think 'the few' were right about those.

You mean lambert kolibri turbine??
Even though it looks a bit bigger so it could be something in between.

That's just a bunch of carp!!! I do honestly believe that the vast majority of us would absolutely LOVE to have a reliable, low cost, quality turbine alternative. Jet Joe was bashed cause he deserves it. He miserably failed on the reliable and quality points. He got the cost one right. As Meatloaf might sing, "One out of three is bad"

The TP looks like they took a planetary gearbox from an electric motor and stuff it on the front of it.... very well... interesting.... I'll wait and see before anything else...

How'd I know you'd comment...lol

Can't wait to see GSR's flaming, degrading, and otherwise breaking of RCU rules towards me like normal.

Like I said before, Anyone care to work on getting the problem fixed with JJ for future models, or is it only those approved by the few that will be allowed to stand?

Look like they might have possibilities to be a workable engine starting from a proven base,
Too bad some people dont have that same prognosis. Scotty
